In real life, they would have all been dead the minute the arrows started flying. Being outnumbered and surrounded by a bunch of archers that have the high ground, in a wide open space, is an insurmountable disadvantage.
@whatIfindinteresting

facts, trained archers would have picked them off so easily, bullet proof vests or not do not protect from head shots or neck shots. which trained archers with high ground could have easily picked off. Especially since they had been given ample time to line up their shots. It should have realistically been a wrap.

I like how Caine doesn’t want to fight Koji and his men even though he doesn’t have a choice. And we see this later in the kitchen fight scene as Caine goes out of his way to avoid killing koji’s men using mostly his fists and non lethal strikes to pacify them. Which is something he’s unable to do later when he’s ultimately forced to kill Koji knowing the table wouldn’t believe that he Koji just got away.

The way they ask about each other's daughter, the way they try to talk each other out of the fight, they're still friends and they genuinely don't want to fight each other but they know they have no choice. John won in the end. Whether or not he's actually dead doesn't matter. He made the High Table bleed, made everyone see that they were as mortal as anyone else. And you're right, they showed that anyone is replaceable, even those they claim are allies. Therein lies their treachery, attacking the Bowery King, the New York and Osaka Continental -- more than willing to eliminate any faction for _their_ inability to kill one man who was more than wiling to leave them alone if they hadn't pushed him around one too many times; and more than willing to break the rules and proclaim they no longer apply to them in order to force everyone to bend their knee to the High Table alone. They did it to the Bowery King, after he pointed out that he aided Wick before he was _Excommunicado_ and thus his punishment was unjust; they did it to Koji, ignoring the rules that no business be conducted on Continental grounds, and _only_ deeming it deconsecrated when Koji attempted to enforce those rules. And in the process, those same factions made the High Table bleed resources, showing that they _could_ be resisted, even defeated. Even the Elder, "The One who sits above the Table," was not safe from retribution. If nothing else, John restored balance by reminding everyone in the criminal underworld of their mortality, and that the moment one ignores the rules... ... *_"Consequences."_*

And the manager coulda completely 'cooperated' letting the reps search his place to their heart's content, then thrown a fit about the unfair treatment and lost business due to the inaccurate 'rumour' that wick was at his place.

Few issues that i never understood with this scene. Firstly, why do the High table dudes, instantly start getting hostile? Even if John was there, werent they still supposed to confirm he is there and getting services? Another is as soon as Koji asks for their weapons, which according to him is the norm, why are they instantly extra hostile about someone following the rules? And lastly, why is there like 20+ archers but when Koji orders them to shoot, there is like 3 arrows that hit? Like wat? Where is the rest of them, most of them would be dead sure and it would make the fight way boring, but like come on, what is the point of showing there is bunch of them and then have less than half shoot, atleast have them all shoot and kill most if not all of the ones inside expect for the "leader" of them, and have bunch more arrive, like atleast make your previous shot from seconds ago actually pay off in or near the scale you showed

Why would the swords make little metallic noises when being moved through the air? It's dumb enough that movies have them make that noise when being drawn from a leather scabbard (if metal rubs metal any edge would be dulled very quickly) but when being moved behind a man's back?

I want an entire Osaka continental series, I’m a sucker for anything remotely eastern. Japanese people are just the coolest people in the world, I don’t care.
