why tho? I'm probably not seeing something but he just turned around and used the stone to go further away. Maybe that caused the slardar to miss the hit by turning around? Could the slardar hit him if he had gone straight?

@@ArielNMz Earth spirit places a stone -> slardar quickly walks in front of the stone to try to block the expected roll onto the stone (ES would've hit slardar and his roll would've canceled, which means he'd have no way out and die) -> ES predicted slardar would do this, and had already chosen to roll the other direction and drops a stone mid roll so he'll roll far enough to get away with TP. Basically, ES chose to roll in the direction slardar was chasing him from, which is a suicidal play that works because ES baited slardar into walking in front of ES.
