One of my local Bakeries has 2 Mistral MCFLA48's In them and they have been slowly modernizing the bakery so I just asked if I can have 1st option if they plan to remove/replace them and I recommended them these because not only are they well-built but they also look nice to a building which would be at least 40 years old if not older. I love to see that after all these years they still use these beehive canopies. One of the best made ceiling fans for New Zealand and Australia.

I had 6 of these made in 2004 with a beige j hook canopy. They where put in the house when it was built.

the canopys are always white when there new, they yellow in sunlight. this one aswell as those mistrals havent seen much sunlight so there still very white.

I had a 2006 HPM ceiling fan in white outside and it was so wobbly on 2 and 3 that it hit the ceiling of the balcony 😂

i remember houses in darwin would have the airflows everywhere n if one broke sometimes they’d get replaced with a wattmaster, they never went as fast dead set,

I wonder why Australia only gets straight-blade, not curve-blade SMCs (in case you don’t know, curved blades spread the air out better and are common in Hong Kong and some other places)

Yeah I’ve watched a lot of Dan neumans vidoes, I’ve never seen a curved bladed smc over here. This isn’t an SMC howeverc it’s a Clipsal airflow.

@@willpower3544 I’ve actually seen an SMC with curved blades believe it or not, saw a 36 inch one about 10 years ago at an art and coffee house about 5 mins from our place.

Curved blade industrial ceiling fans used to be more common in Australia, however it seems like they were phased out/discontinued after the 1980s or so. When I was a kid in the early 2000s you still saw the occasional one in grocery stores and other commercial premises that hadn't been renovated for a long time. I remember my local pet shop (long gone now) had a large one on an extended rod. These days they are extremely rare. I personally haven't seen one in probably over 10 years now.
