4:07 and 7:30. Now this is a terrifyingly realistic depiction of an invincible opponent in our world. They have no fear and will not hesitate. They have no reason to be otherwise. The only flaw is the bodies not becoming dismembered. Absolutely nothing you can do to stop them from going after you and squishing your soft and mushy body.

MoS had pretty good ones, but it could be better. The problem I see is the budget. Year after year they cut the budget more for these scenes. Compare to Avatar, same thing

I love how the Rangers are portrayed. They didnt run, they fought as best they could with what they had. They recognized Superman as a good guy, and at the end of the fight, showed him respect.

The fight scene actually gave justice to “grounding” flight well as they gave justice in showing the gravitas for a seemingly low-gravity scene. Every attempts of Superman to fly was constantly hampered by the kryptonian soldiers by making him grounded to have a more devastating impact than just flying and punching. Fight while flying trope is easily undermined as there is no sense of direction and impact with only punches if you are above but they did a fantastic job to really make it feel as if they are hurt in this scene by limiting one’s capability of flying itself.

because Kal had been absorbing Earth’s Sun radition, for almost 33 years, if Zod’s team could adaptive to live on Earth about one month, i think they will break Kal easily, especialy Zod, even he’s more older than Kal. I absolutely loved the big guy "Nam-ek", how he catches superman mid flight like "YOU'RE NOT GOING ANYWHERE!" and when superman punches him into a whole bunch of trains, Nam-ek throws a cart thats on fire right back at him.

It was simply a different approach to the comic book movie in a cinema world where every comic book movie was established to be a safe non risky, partial comedy popcorn ride for the whole family to see, say "best marvel movie yet" and get excited for the next safe and samey movie but then forget about what they just saw afterwards. Wash, rinse and repeat. Man of Steel dared to bring up questions like "How would the real world react to a Superman? Would they REALLY welcome him in open arms treating him like a messiah figure in a post 9/11 world? would villains with supermans abilities really 'care to step outside' to fight superman so buildings wouldn't get destroyed?" etc.

Indeed. Except maybe the Captain America trilogy like Winter Soldier. But that's just me. I love both Superman and Captain America. They are the most boring character for everybody else but not me. Lol. Both are goody goody boy scouts and leaders in their teams of their respective comic universes. Both represent the American symbol or the American way and ideals, truth and justice. Both are supposedly the first superhero of their universe, or at least so for Captain America while Superman is the first superhero ever created in the whole comics universe real life and fiction. So yeah. I realize I like Captain America for Marvel and for DC I am all Superman. Haha. In real life I am lot like who or what these two are or embody. For real. It may not sound or seem like it because I am the one saying it but it's what I myself and others who know me have observed of me and told me. And it's so funny how I am into these two comic book characters too. Well not at first. I was more into Iron man for Marvel and Batman for DC. Yeah, also the parallels, both billionaire superheroes of their comic universes. And I am still into them both and also have something in common with them. Heh heh.
