Man do I wish the Witch King had a visible face. The look of abject horrid realization on his face from when Eowyn unmasks would've been epic. You know that all the malice and arrogance would've vanished the moment he realized Eowyn was a woman and that the "no man can kill me" thing was literal.

@@TorTyr-z9h I have a slight problem with that theory. An issue I’d have to take up with Tolkien himself. But if this is the case, and an Elven Dagger with special enchantments is what doomed the Witch King, then how come the elves didn’t use such weapons against all the Nazgûl from the start? That’s my question. Again that’s a question for Tolkien himself. But it’s a minor plot hole.

@waynepurcell6058 2 ай бұрын
Well, be glad to know that in the books the ghost army didn't even go to Minas Tirith, and not only were they "immune" to harm, they also really couldn't cause physical harm. They only appeared in South Gondor as Aragorn makes to assault the corsair's ships. They just terrified most of the corsairs and made them jump off their ships and drown. Their primary power was fear. Aragorn then led the Southern Gondoreans (freed up from dealing with the corsairs) to Minas Tirith. The "Dead Army" was worth nothing more than their "fear inspiration". Aragorn released them as soon as they scared the baddies out of South Gondor and acquired the corsair ships.

Hot take but I dislike this in comparison to the books. In the books the Army of the Dead were used to defeat the Corsairs then Aragorn gathered a force of Northern Rangers and men from the southern coast of Gondor to aid in the fighting. Its brutal and at one point Aragorn and Eomer almost kill one another because their bloods are so up. They plant their banners side by side on a hill and the two new Kings of their respective kingdoms fight back to back and slay hundreds of their foes. In this the Dead just kinda...wipe the floor with everybody. They also removed the best part, where a healed Faramir declares him king by right of conquest and officially reuniting the Arnorian and Gondorian kingdoms.
@aconformist1
@aconformist1 Ай бұрын
Yeah the inclusion of the dead here in the movie is a bit cheesy with how they are invulnerable as only the descendant of what's his name can hurt them and they basically finish off Sauron's army and quickly relieve the city with no trouble at all. Didn't even need the Rohirrim there.

5:38 i love how after they cut off the good arm of a handicapped Uruk General they still did an Overkill by Gimli slashing him with 2 war axes and Aragorn impaling him, totally unnecessary, but ok

Eowyn like Leia was a badass character. No need for the overbearing "girl-power that no need no man!"

should've given gimli more cool scenes. he's much better in the books than he's shown in the films. he's so underrrated.

Not dumber than Frodo surviving that troll stab. ... Unless mithril has vibranium-like property that absorbs kinetic energy. But unhardened mithril is as soft as copper and can be hammered into shape very easily. Gandalf himself said it. So it has no inherent vibranium-like property. It is just super hard once it goes through some sort of hardening process, either work-hardening, or heat-treatment, or some exotic process.

It’s called oiliphant not elephant they look similar but a oiliphant is massive compared to a regular elephant.
