@@TorTyr-z9h I have a slight problem with that theory. An issue I’d have to take up with Tolkien himself. @waynepurcell6058Ай бұрын
Well, be glad to know that in the books the ghost army didn't even go to Minas Tirith, and not only were they "immune" to harm, they also really couldn't cause physical harm. They only appeared in South Gondor as Aragorn makes to assault the corsair's ships. They just terrified most of the corsairs and made them jump off their ships and drown. Their primary power was fear. Aragorn then led the Southern Gondoreans (freed up from dealing with the corsairs) to Minas Tirith. The "Dead Army" was worth nothing more than their "fear inspiration". Aragorn released them as soon as they scared the baddies out of South Gondor and acquired the corsair ships.

Hot take but I dislike this in comparison to the books. In the books the Army of the Dead were used to defeat the Corsairs then Aragorn gathered a force of Northern Rangers and men from the southern coast of Gondor to aid in the fighting. Its brutal and at one point Aragorn and Eomer almost kill one another because their bloods are so up. They plant their banners side by side on a hill and the two new Kings of their respective kingdoms fight back to back and slay hundreds of their foes. In this the Dead just kinda...wipe the floor with everybody. They also removed the best part, where a healed Faramir declares him king by right of conquest and officially reuniting the Arnorian and Gondorian kingdoms.
@aconformist129 күн бұрын
Yeah the inclusion of the dead here in the movie is a bit cheesy with how they are invulnerable as only the descendant of what's his name can hurt them and they basically finish off Sauron's army and quickly relieve the city with no trouble at all. Didn't even need the Rohirrim there.
