Clock Blithfield INSET Stove - 5kw Multifuel / Wood Burning - in-depth Review from Natural Heating

This is a very in-depth video about the Clock Blithfield 5 INSET multi fuel stove.
Clock Wood Burners are one of the leading UK wood burning and multi fuel stove manufacturers. Their stove models are some of the most highly sought after and well reknowned by end users, dealers (like me) and installers alike.
Yes, I'm a retailer for Clock Stoves. You will find all my details below. However, I believe in full disclosure and tell you everything I can about every stove model we have. I've burned ALL of them and we have approx 90 different models here in stock and on display. If it's not good enough for me, it simply won't come in my shop. I'm not going to sell you something I wouldn't buy myself !
Every single stove model has it's own personality so to speak. Nothing will even be perfect or suit everyone. To my, it's like understanding what the product has to offer so my customers can decide what they want and like.
That said, it's like buying a pair of shoes. you may be a size 6, but not every pair of size 6 will fit you. Some may be horrible to you (but perfect for your best friend), some might be ok - but it takes effort to find what is perfect. That's why you really want to take the time, come and visit us and handle all these different stoves in the flesh. A video alone is NOT enough

Just had the inset fitted by a reputable clock fitter in our fireplace but I don't recall any insulation. In fact, it gives out a lot of heat so it wouldn't need it.

It should be insulated to stop heat loss (massively improves performance). Also states in the manual must be insulated. :-) Hope you enjoy it ! Merry Christmas

@@Ian-gw2vx I’m sure you will. It’s a very capable stove. I’ve actually done a secondary part to this one based on burning smokeless fuel (which really isn’t my thing.. ). Haven’t edited my media together yet - but will be online in the next day or two. I’ve learnt quite a lot from burning this stove. You’d think a stove is a stove.. but they all have their own quirks and preferences of how they like to be used. As they say, proof of the pudding is in the eating .. so I like to make sure I have had a thorough play with every model we sell in the shop. Every one typically teaches me something new !

@@naturalheatinghellfirepizza Yes, I have found that out having had a compact blithfield in the front room for 3 years. That is better for saving on fuel as you can turn the dial right down for a slow burn which unfortunately you can't on the inset. But the downside is the glass blacks quite easy. The Inset stays nice and clean and the glass seems to radiate heat better. I tend to burn smokeless ovals when all the wood has gone to a nice hot bed of embers but it doesn't last until the morning like it did on the old coal open fire we just replaced. Perhaps I'm not putting enough on as we did with the open.

Sorry. I'm not a Chilli Penguin stockist. None of these stoves are stoves given to me - all have been purchased. There is another dealer close to us with Chilli Penguin and most good manufacturers keep a good radius between stockists.

Where there is a will, there is a way. We are ALWAYS happy to accommodate visitors. I love it when you all want to come and visit. There is typically always tea / coffee and homemade cake on tap 🙂 If the manufacturers do not have a dealer able to help in your country, I'm more than happy to do my best. I may not be able to ship to where you are (need to work that out) - but still willing to package for you to arrange your own collection if not. Some stoves, we aren't permitted to sell out of area.. but if you are here visiting in store - restrictions typically do not apply. It's fairly crucial though that you / we work out exactly what suits you and what may not... and you fully understand how to use them to their best. I'm always available for my customers for support. Because the control mechanism for opening the air is a bit like clockwork. That's my guess anyway.
