8:37 One thing I love about the clock repair community is that there are so many ways to do any particular thing. I've seen people describe scribing as defacing the movement, but others see it as a pragmatic way to assemble the clock so it can be enjoyed for years to come. Thanks for posting your take and suggestions on this practice.

I just finished servicing a full plate #89 movement. Only the front plate is open, the back being a full plate. This makes it a bit more challenging to assemble and set up. I only had to install one bushing on this, others having been done before. It's a pretty robust movement and runs very strong.

So that’s the reason why they made the barrels for the springs I guess and later renditions. I’m new to this so please excuse my vocabulary, I may not be describing it correctly
