Whenever I can see an inlet in a manhole like this one, I use a piece of 2" pvc with a 45 on the end, stuff it in there and jet it like that back to the source. The pvc keeps the hose relatively stable, gives you some leverage with it and you don't have to fight the trap as much. Also a good chance of opening the line and you don't have to deal with a pump and shop vac. Not trying to tell how to do your job, just trying to help a fellow muck-man and any other muck-men who might see this out. Keep fighting the good fight and congrats on 200

I did try to snake it the outlet going backward towards the trap, but there was a huge stone logged in the trap. Plus, the jetter wasn't running on a 100%

Since then, the Jetter did go in for a needed tune-up.

Rocks, scale, wipes,and part of a rubber gasket were the culprits. This job required the water jet, a pump and a shop vacuum., because that pit was flooded with 3 to 4 feet of POOPOO!
