The guy i go to for repairs investigated this pedal and concluded that the circuitry in both pedals was completely identical in every respect...

The only difference is the voltage. This pedal runs on 9v while the original klon centaur runs on 18v.

BTW if you have a solid state amp and a klon clone, lower the output because these pedal were made to drive tube amps.

I dont think that's the 3k one, I think it's a version released later by the same manufacturer. The 57$ u are talking about I think it's the same.

Neither are the same this is just a cheap copy. The real ones are actually 3k and have a different case

Great demo Shane. Bought a KTR will be delivered tomorrow! I'm going to put my Mythical Overdrive up against it. BTW if you haven't tried a *RimRock Effects Mythical Overdrive*. IMO, that's the Klone to beat.. Peace

Just snagged one of these direct from Ali Express for about $70(£50 in my money)and it sounds tremendous with my 335. Just don't expect lots of gain,It is not a distortion pedal.Does it sound like a real Klon? No idea but it is well worth the money.

It sounds brighter than your KTR ... which itself sounds a bit different to the original Centaur, so ... I can't see how it can sound like "a Klon" (by which most people mean the original Klon Centaur).

This sounds ok but its a little thrill on top. Sounds like uper mids are accentuated too much. Looks great however. And the new ktr 's arnt as good as the original. Everyone know thats . ive had a pedals by tone klon from tony for 6 years and nothing can touch the rich warm organic tone. Sounds better than the ktr too!

The only sound I partially liked was your choice when you rolled off the treble pot. But even that was too harsh and shrill for my liking. Sticking with my analogman prince of tone. Thanks for the video though

+3frenchtoast3 It's far from being way too harsh mate. I would suggest trying on a different set of speakers or headphones. A little top end on humbuckers is where it's at. :-)
