CHina makes awesome brand clone knives from DC53.I have 2 extrema ratio real deal and fake and the real deal is not better but they performed pretty much the same.The difference in terms of value is huge.Fake cost me 50$ while the real deal 400$

One thing i don't believe is said enough but you are a great example. Ive watched you since you started. Your skills have improved that its easy to tell. Just looking at how well you do feathers. But you prove beyond doubt skills are more important then the type of knife. Some designs are better then others for certain tasks. But you definitely show you don't need fancy steels and expensive marketing to get the job done. Im very impressed a $18 dollar knife held up.

Those clones are from YangJiang China. It’s interesting that those clone knives factories they can only clone a few brands I think due to their matching equipments and skills. Very few are folding knives mostly are fixed blades. Mainly ZT 0180, this new ZT 0006, GSO fixed blades, Miller Bros blades are the main ones. Those clones are extremely popular in China I believe.

It's serviceable for the money. :) I received the NedFoss Brave BK today, it's basically like a ZT0006 and a Ka-Bar USMC knife had a baby. (NedFoss BRAVE 6.8" D2 Steel Blade Full Tang Hunting Knife with Kydex Sheath, 65.00€, tax included on Nozama Prime)

Makes me think of how the M-tech 151 is a Trailmaster knock-off and is a fantastic beater blade. This looks like it could find a similar niche--as a knife you can toss in the bottom of your tool or tackle box and use in a pinch. On a side note, when using a ferro rod, you can get a lot better control of the sparks by holding the blade still and pulling the rod instead of holding the rod still and pushing the blade.

That's a clone of a clone. I have a cline that is actually cera-coated and everything Took the s ales off, same stamping of the metals. Sane weight, same length..... if I didn't know it was a clone, even I would be fooled. This isn't a benchmade clone like the millions out there. Someone took their time w this one. Sharp, durable and everything down to the screw size is identical.

For some reason, when i look at this clone, it screams Eafengrow at me. It has that look. Ya know? And if its not really 7cr then whatever it is holds up well enough to be easily sharpened. I like the look of it.

7cr13mov is not a thing. It is 7cr17mov. $17 vs $320. cpm 3v vs 7cr17mov. 7cr17mov for this purpose is better. It doesn't hold edge as good but it is easier to sharpen. 7cr17mov takes abuse better. Less corrosion also. This is better than the original hands down. There is noway the $320 original would take that beating nor would it ever leave the display cabinet.

@@LegionTacticoolCutlery Choosing the knot the toughest part of the dry log is a testament. $17 nothing to loose. $320 and it would hurt to damage the knife. That's why you never see abuse on an expensive knife. This knife is amazing value. Would be good to see what is under the covers as to lighten and balance the knife or just solid all the way. Those screws most likely would come loose on any knife original or copy. Maybe some plumbing tape so you can still get it apart for cleaning. Also I think the test was harder that any use you would do with the knife and yet sensible not to use the "rage of the ape" trying to break it in purpose. After cutting the log it still had an edge. The steel is good. impressive. I'm wondering if it is 7cr because it holds the edge very very well. Or they have done a very good job on hardening the steel. Maybe it is 3V? I like that jimping. Very useful improvement. Awesome video.

convex edge might work better for you . SOME convex only one side and have great results . 👍 , I just orderd one to check it out , ZT is usually on the high side on price
