I own a pm 2 and a manix 2 I found both uncomfortable with extended use, I haven’t picked either up in years. People used to rave over them, I’m over them, in fact I’ve gone full circle I’m a fixed blade guy again. I’ve pocket carried a fixed blade since before it was a big thing.

@colinburgess9455 that's awesome man, they ain't for everyone. Alot of people don't like Spyderco at all, and that's alright. I've used/owned alot of knives, and for me, far as folding knives go I really like the manix?, but your 100% correct, if comfortable ergonomics are what matters most, a fixed blade is hard to beat. Thanks for watching.

Absolutely couldn't agree more. The manix is the only knife that one needs. I've called it the single best EDC knife design on the market since it came out. The st nicks 4v drops they have pretty much done every of the popular models in. I have the entire run to date!

@Shanes_Sharp_Sheet11 күн бұрын
For sure, I have told several people that I could have used the same video title for a handful of different Spydercos. Probably the biggest one I've seen people challenge me and the manix 2 with is the Native, and those people are right, the Native, military, sage could all fall under this title, for me though it's the manix 2. The og military is fantastic! I had to sell mine a while back and miss it dearly. And I don't know if i would like the military 2.... Anyway, thanks for watching buddy, hope you and yours are doing well

I wanted a manix 2 but waited until got the right one. Saw a listing online for a Manix 2 LW in Magnacut and instantly picked it up. Threw on lighter spring/ball kit and AWT aluminum scales. Its one of my favorite knives.

@Ok15402 I think what I'll do is wait until I can buy a new lightweight model in a steel I like, and order the scales at the same time. @chriswebb3018 man that is so awesome to hear!! Same here, I have better looking knives, more expensive knives, etc. But you just can't beat the Manix2 as an all around do everything knife. So cool!!
@deadvikingtrollsАй бұрын
The lock is the manix 2's biggest problem. I have two of them also in cruwear, my favorite steel. I wanted to make it the knife I ended up with but the lock actually kind of sucks. The plastic cages do not feel good and necessitate aftermarket ones from flytanium and hope they don't rub funny. The spring tension you mentioned also hurts it because it requires two fingers to actuate and you're already fighting the curved butt of the knife for leverage to pull back. If it weren't for these faults I might have said that this is the best spyderco knife. As it stands that would be the native 5, basic but optimal.
@Shanes_Sharp_SheetАй бұрын
@deadvikingtrolls all valid points for sure, even if none bother me personally. But your absolutely right, the Native is a fantastic knife. I figure i could have used this video title for the sage, native, manix2, Pm2, and para3 and got similar responses. The aluminum cage that I got from flytanium worked fine, but I have heard differently several times. Thanks for watching, and thanks for the intelligent, valid comment. Beats the hell out of the guy screaming at me because the manix has poor blade to handle ratio... evidently that makes it garbage lol!, I told him if blade to handle ratio means that much to him, Spyderco may not be for him., again, thank you!
@deadvikingtrollsАй бұрын
The downward cutting angle of the blade is the manix 2's greatest strength. Pm2 has this to an extent but the manix 2 is the best spyderco knife at staying in the material you're cutting. Overall though, native 5.
