Considering the eventual ending of the series, I think that was the point, we only got attached to a few named clones throughout the course of the show, but the majority were just, ‘the clones’. All of the droids however get pet names depending on their impact, example Scared Droid: you said we’d be safe back here Cocky Droid: come on, there’s three of us and only one of him Depressed Droid: it won’t matter

Anyone else notice how powering down is known as “closing down” and in most instances before Disney bought the franchise the droids refer to it as “closing down” but all of the times we see a droid mention powering off in Disney Star Wars they only call it “shutting down” “powering off” etc. this all goes back to a new hope when c-3po tells Luke he is going to close down for awhile while he talks to Ben Kenobi. Just a small detail that really shows which writers truly care about the Star Wars universe.

Honestly I love the Lord they develop for those battle droids because that was the voice they developed in the later prequels as well from what I remember it supposed to be like a sensory overload they have so much programming and they were being pushed to so many different aspects of combat from Fireman to security details to just about anything you needed a grunt to do so they were just jammed pack with a mess of coding and supposedly that's why they were so chatty it was a way to try to reduce the strain and load on their system they had to do it. Think of it as a human venting his frustrations when he's really angry to help improve his emotional level only in this instance its to keep your memory core from overloading
