8:19 In the leaked beta, these wood structures were built with phys_contraints (welds) and didn't do this. These kind of physics structures were in other maps aswell, but were changed for performance reasons. This specific map contains a lot of beta stuff and physics contraptions like the lift in the hall and the blocked off doors, because this map was mostly unchanged from the beta.

All other main character NPCs including Kleiner and Eli have actually good ragdoll physics while Alyx, especially in Episode Two has very bad physics (no proper limits and unrealistic poses)

@@anueutsuho7425 It's not really different physics but different bone structure and how much each bone can move and turn, etc. If you play gmod you know how stiff most of the HL2 ragdolls are.

I love how they didn't even try to come up with any new fail dialogue for episode one, it's just "Alyx Died". Thank god ep2 implemented some more fitting ones. Also the reason why you cant kill the gunship early at the end of highway 17 is because when a gunship's ai is disabled, (either through ai disable or the game storing an npc out of bounds waiting to be used) you can see that it moves down a bit when struck by a rocket. (could be in regular gameplay, but a gunship moves too much to tell)

Once on that bit in the citadel with Alyx and the see-through blue bridges, Alyx attempted to jump onto the bridge when it wasn't there, floated in the air for a few seconds, and then fell and died.

I wanted to share this fact since a friend of mine didn't know you could do this. So in Nova Prospekt if you bring all the turrets (or maybe even one turret) to the room where you meet Eli and Mossman the turrets will fire at both of them. Mossman is invincible however Eli can die if he gets shot by the turrets causing the game to softlock. However you can get past the soft lock by killing Eli as he gets lifted up by the teleporter. Figure it would fit in the series

i tried bringing every friendly turret in nova prospekt to the end and for some reason, the older turrets started trying to shoot mossman and eli, eventually killing them. I think i was using HL2 update but im not sure

Yes, in my experience of bringing all the friendly turrets to the end like 3 times, the turrets attack Mossman but only in the part where alyx talks to her about betraying the resistance, when they are in the teleporter map the turrets stop attacking Mossman, also a bug I noticed is that sometimes the old turrets will stop having the ability of standing back up, and instead if they fall they will be destroyed like the enemy turrets.

heres one ive found, you can buffer a shot with the shotgun only but holding down r and hold down the shoot button after youve shot once for bit, then release shoot and you should reload and shoot without pressing the shoot key. sorry for the bad explaination hard to explain over text
