Watching Riley nearly choke up describing it as the happiest time of his life was really touching. Five (six?) years ago, he broke his back in an oil rig accident, reached probably the lowest point in his life and decided to make a major change. Now here he is, everything has fallen into place after soooo much hard, hard work to get here. With the love of his life, a new baby and after finageling a sweet ride. Hats off mate, you're an inspiration.

Gail Albers you are entitled to have your opinion however did you never cross the road? IF you have children did you ever drive in a car with them? Life is full of dangerous things. Even the most benign events could turn to tragedy in an instance. And God forbid something should happen to either one of them, it's not like Lenny would be the first child to grow up with just one parent.

But hopefully it's not to late finding a lifestyle with heart, living the rest of our life as we should and feel for. Don't have to be like this, on the sea. We maybe have other dreams to follow. Such a close call makes one realise there is no place for complacency. The message behind saying, "it's pretty nice having Lenny on board" is, "I am the luckiest bugger in the world and I can't be thankful enough for you giving us Lenny". Lenny's laugh with the game at the end brought tears to my old eyes. He is just so gorgeous, an absolute joy to behold.

I lost my friend to a tiger shark while we were free diving it's such a fear of mine that I've been waiting till today to watch this. I did not watch the first dive you all did. I will admit it took me about 1 or two hours to just watch this one. I'm in my 50's and still feel very nervous going into the ocean but I push my self to do it. You are awesome and great job ...
@EdwardTilley
@EdwardTilley 4 жыл бұрын
You shouldn't feel nervous and fearful; attacks are rare, but you shouldn't be chumming the ocean nor entering the water with bleeding wounds either. Sorry to hear about your friend. What were the circumstances of his attack? Was he simply young & foolish like we all are? Luck, both bad and good, is so much of life - Aristotle had that right.

I've been following since 2015/16 and the standard of video has improved out of site. I've always loved the content but the actual camera work now is superb. The close ups and moving focus shots on seemingly random parts of the boat are serene and beautifully captured. The music content is always understated yet adds to the quality and overall feel. The underwater shots, like last week, are amazing. Enough of the critic awards write-up HAHA. I've screen-shot a few of the underwater scenes and now have a shot of Riley, pushing away Butt-face, as my screensaver lol. I look forward to yet more adventures . Cheers from Bundaberg

Shark attacks are on the rise worldwide. They're starving and at this point I believe Great Whites populations are so low they are functionally extinct.

Slim Jim yeah people say they are so rare and blah blah blah. Maybe it’s rare to be on the news or even reported globally. But they happen a lot here in Hawaii. My brothers classmate got bit by a shark a few years ago.

Riley, I have mixed feelings about interacting with Tiger sharks in the Bahamas where so many cruisers come for family vacations centered on water activities. Isn't there a danger of making these sharks less inhibited and more attracted to boats and humans in the water increasing the chances of dangerous, even deadly encounters? You're an experienced free driver who knew they were there and you almost became a snack. Interested to hear your thoughts on my concern. Thanks!

It’s been incredible watching this family develop form a couple of “kids” into well grounded adults. This is amazing and inspiring to watch how people can live such a simple, yet very hard, life and they make it so beautiful. The fact that they can find joy in the every little thing that they can pushes me to find more things to appreciate in my life.

When I lived on Kwajalein, the disposal people dumped huge amounts of food off the end of the island at about the same time everyday. The sharks and other fish knew when dinner time was and were waiting. It seemed to have the effect of keeping them docile. This was on the lagoon side. Not so docile on the ocean side.

People have heard many things. Few have experienced what they have heard. Two things about sharks; they are unpredictable and lightning fast. After scuba diving in shark infested waters for a 3 yrs I have jad a number of encounters, none of which, I assumed I had the advantage. It only takes once.
