Close grip needs to be at shoulder-width otherwise you'll but excessive strain on your wrist!

@@thepuszygoat_7506 Was going to say the grip is really close here you can move out more. But it feels nice stretch on triceps at thumb touch like he said. I do get the feeling like it's more harder on joints all the same. Light weights would be better

Everyone repeats that the elbows should be close to your torso, but nobody can explain why. The only think you can here is: " this is how you isolate the triceps". It's is exactly the opposite. When elbows are in you tend to bring them closer to you lower chest, i.e. further away from your shoulders. As a result, the angle changes and the triceps is doing less work.

true, i actually stopped giving a shit about my elbows being close to my torso.. as a result i have increased by close grip bench massively.. and have developed more mass on my triceps

This is incorrect. With your arms close to your side, the pec muscles are less engaged than with the elbows flared, forcing your triceps to do more work.

There’s no need to tuck your elbows in. Puts more strain on shoulder joints with no more benefit to the triceps. Also shoulder width for the grip is ideal for triceps stimulation and overall safety on this lift.

Grip is to close, you’ll put unnecesary strain on the wrists, if you wanna keep them so close, your better off using an e-z bar And you don’t focus on keeping your elbows flared out on a regular bench press, they should be on a 30-40 degree angle

This is waaay too narrow. You're gonna fuck up your wrists, because you put too much pressure on them. Talking from experience here. So go more wide. Every other fitness influencer I came across before changing to a wider grip, completely contradicts what this dude is saying
