Those matrix running lights are not really my style. Quite different from the asymmetrical headlight everyone had gotten used to. Rest of the bike look awesome though!

The asymmetrical headlight were a GS signature. I am surprised BMW dropped that strong identity feature.

dont call TPS tire pressure CONTROL...I mean that would be awesome but I dont think we are there quite yet. Would be nicc though! Maybe have wheel hub double as high pressure air tank that stays charged via tiny compressor mounted on it? tube from hub to rim ....maybe could be centrifully powered? Would charge really slow but light weight and air could be supplimented via direct scrader valve with spare air and then a valve the bike's computer could let air into tire and another one that lets it out so on the fly you switch from road to trail and pressures drop and then vice versa

i have 8 BMW motorcycle from a 1929 R63 to R66 to R68 to 100GS and modern BMWs, I just wish BMW can make a version of R1300 without the electric wind shield and bare minimum load so it can be light like the original GS, as much as I love and dedicate myself to the brand, the bikes keeps on getting heavier and heavier, the original GS felt small and dirt bike like while new GS must be ridden as a big tourer.

Man gewöhnt sich offensichtlich doch an den neuen Scheinwerfer. Zuerst hat er mir so gar nicht gefallen aber inzwischen finde ich ihn OK und sicherlich ist er einzigartig. Was mir fehlt sind mehr Farben und die Wahl von Silber beim Kardan und Motor sowie Rahmen und Felgen. Das gibt es schon länger nicht mehr bei der GS. Warum? Einsparung oder was ist der Grund? Schwarz ist so viel Dreckanfälliger und der Kardan schaut dabei nicht besser sonder schlechter aus. Die GS in schwarzmetallic sieht mit einigen silbernen Elementen einfach besser aus. Silberne Speichenfelgen oder andere Alufelgen machen dabei auch immer eine guten Eindruck! ❤

Looks much better than the outgoing one. Triumphs lifetime warranty would make the Tiger 1200 the one I would buy though unless BMW also offered lifetime warranty

I already have the perfect GS. Its 15 years old but still looks like it's 20 years ahead, has 800ccs which are more than enough, its perfect. But thanks nevertheless BMW ✌️

I like this new incarnation a lot. However, I don’t understand the integrated front indicators… does it really make sense to put a lense/light on a part designed to take impacts when the bike is dropped etc? Tucked out of harms way makes more sense to me… Still floating my boat though….

sure then everyone will pay big bucks for the protection package never mind the bike is 50 heavier so long as it doesnt cost 1000 each time you drop her in the sand. Most adv bikes have fragile turn signals a real money maker for the manucacturers I imagine Personlly I think front signals should be in the mirrors combining four things under just two aero footprint as it were rather than four Mirror stalks can be designed to fold rather than taking damage but where is the profit in that?

The headlight looks wired too me. Not the X design which is actually pretty cool but rather that it is too low, in the mudguard. My brain is used to see the the headlight higher, now in this black empty box under the windshield…

850mm is the standard seat height and with the optional 30 mm ride hight reduction at slow speeds or stopped. . You can also get a low seat. Look at the Q&A video.

BMW did the same thing with new M3. Change the front grill. Lots of people were upset. Guess what? They brought in new customers from Mercedes and Audi buyers. “New” customers liked the design and it had more technology and improved performance. The new R 1300 GS will pull customers from Ducati and KTM. I personally like the “looks” of my 2022 R 1250 GS 40th Anniversary option 719 better than the new look 1300. However if i was buying a new GS I’d get the 1300 triple black and add Gold Wheels.

To get the Ride Modes Pro, Gear Shift Assist Pro, Dynamic Suspension, Sports Brake, Dynamic Headlight, and some other features, you have to get the Premium Package, which automatically comes with the Riding Assist. I'd like to have a delete on this option because I already have a lane change assist, called a neck, and I don't want my bike braking for me ever. These systems are incredibly aggravating in cars, and I don't want them polluting my motorcycling. Secondly, this requires the uglier front with the higher screen always showing the black bump. Give us the option to delete the Rider Assist, I'd even pay more for this "feature."

I agree with you 100%. Manufacturers will soon have a bike that you just sit on and it rides for you. I’m happy for this new generation though as the current ones are going to go up in value. People are going to want less technology in a couple of years

Hey BMW, hopefully you got rid of that annoying low pressure TPM warning in the dashboard? I have my duct tape on the dash for 3 years now. Please understand traction in offroad works best in low 30s and High 20s in GS. Also, most major tire manufacturers such as Motoz, Mitas, Continental have stiff sidewalls that can run low pressure with adequate rim protection. That 36/42 psi spec is old school. Also, please allow 2 pairs of tires to be registered in RDC. It's a pain updating it every time I switch wheels. Another wish is please fix that left cylinder ticking noise. I had to buy longer chain tensioner because you won't cover under warranty.

Früher haben sich viele hersteller an der GS von BMW Orientiert. Heute orientiert sich BMW an diesen Herstellern und baut deren Ideen nach, billig produzieren,wie eine vStrom , sieht man an der 1300, absenken vor dem anhalten wie bei harley p. a., sieht man an der 1300, mehr Leistung wie bei dukati, sieht man an der 1300,unsw...Kommentare Ja ich bin sie auch schon 1001km probegefahren, mein ehrliches Fazit, die 1250, hat sich etwas weiter zur 1200er entwickelt, die aber kommt mir eher vor wie für die Masse gemacht, halt günstiger in der Herstellung will ich damit sagen, fängt bei der Optik vorn mit dem,, Scheinwerfer vorn an geht über die schlanke Linie weiter die optisch einer 750 ähnelt und hört auch noch nicht bei dem Rohr Rahmen in der Mitte auf der nun nicht mehr da ist dafür wurde ein billig wirkendes Stück gepresstes metal eingesetzt die ganze Optik ähnlich wie eine vStrom von Suzuki und der Preis wie bei einer 1250 ohne viele Extras, ich sag es euch jetzt voraus die Masse ist an so einer überteuerten vStrom Linie nicht interessiert und der typische gs Fahrer wird seine alte Maschine entweder nur gegen gutes Geld hergeben oder lieber zur 1250 greifen. Ich bin weg von gs hab meine geliebte 1200 für gutes Geld hergegeben, wenn ich zurück komme dann im leben nicht um mir die nach der 1250ziger gekommene zu kaufen, da bleib ich lieber bei meiner harley 117cui cvo street glide, weil dort wo ich hinfahre gibt es sowieso asphaltierte Wege. Das ding sieht um es auf den Punkt zu bringen einfach nur scheisse billig aus. Was für Koffer sollen den dazu passen die alt bewährten, stabilen die jeden Kipper schadlos überstanden haben. Wohl eher nicht. Alle die das Ding für den Preis gut schön und besser reden als die 1200oder 1250 ger sind bezahlt oder lügen oder sind fehl am Platz weil sie wie der schall Redner neben Herbert keine Ahnung haben um was es bei einer Gs die letzten Jahre ging. Selbst ein blinder kann erkennen welche der beiden nix ist.

Hey, BMW, maybe don't put the stupid rear radar (which nobody even wants) and put a proper brake light on the bike. How can that be even legal? You're just going to make people crash into bikes more now. Hey, BMW, maybe don't put the stupid indicators on the hand guards. It's an adventure bike, you drop the bike once and you break your hand guard and the indicator. They just make these changes so they can charge more. They make the bikes more prone for failures and you have to then spend more money to fix them. They just make the bikes heavier as well for no reason. Could've been a great bike but you blew it. Just get a KTM instead.

....Non mi piace il frontale, mi aspettavo una linea frontale tipica del GS, con sguardo da matta, questa sembra più uno sguardo da scemo. Non mi piace , continuerò ad avere la mia Gs 1150
