The poppy appeal raises huge amounts of money. Where does it go? Loads of ex military people are homeless and/or struggling with mental health issues, so there's plenty of need. I'm sceptical about huge charities and their vast fortunes.

Isn't it weird that a charity's required for a wealthy country's troops?
@anthonyglee17102 жыл бұрын
@@beingsshepherd it’s not weird. It appeals to the social conscious of a humane society. Much like the RSPCA, Cancer Research, RNLI, Guide Dogs, WWF, Child Line, Scope to name a thousand others. It’s not all about the Government does everything. Collectively as a country we should ALL take responsibility, not blame the government from a keyboard when it suits. Get out and make a difference rather than moaning. And your Nazi vile reference is pitiful, you should be very ashamed.

@@anthonyglee1710 You really think any of that specious cynical condescension gets through to me? You drone-kill brown kids for sport and oil; bear that in mind next time something tragic happens in your life.
