12:21 The police are bound to an authoritarian hierarchy. When accosted by two or more you should first require them to identify whomsoever is the most senior and confine your response ONLY to that one. Otherwise - as here - they will always try to bounce you around one to the other as a means of bullying control. Do not allow it. If they are all of equal rank, the 'most senior' is the one whom you've been employing the longest. The others are then your silent witnesses to the behaviour of the senior one, whom you've pinned down on camera and microphone as now responsible for whatever goes on.

Really admire you for the way you expressed yourself so elequently from start to finish in this video. Loved the bit about "Unfortunately. Well, unfortunately for you but fortunate for me" with regards to you not having to give them your name, whereas they are obliged to identify themselves to a member of the public. As for body cam notification thing, I could see that coming up a mile away, after observing the tele-tale red flashing lights (which of course, in itself does not count as official notification).

Nope they do not have to let people know if they are being videoed. The same in the US.

I couldn’t keep my eyes off of the younger officer; she knows better than all of the others combined how to politely and effectively interact with citizens doing nothing in violation of laws.

14:41 She shakes her head and shrugs her shoulders when asked if she's aware of the police memo. How come I know about it, but she doesn't? I can't think of any other profession where you can get away with knowing absolutely sod all about the job you're being paid to do.

To be honest you can totally understand why the police get nervous when someone is recording them. If I was as inept and as corrupt as many of them are I’d be terrified too. I used to work in an environment where we were recorded 24/7. The only ones who had an issue with it were either lazy or bent. As far as I’m concerned our police should be filmed all of the time in all of the locations they visit.
