Congrats on the 10K. Being a yooper who now lives in Rockport TX it is nice to digitally visit my home sweet home. As to someplace new how about the St. Mary's river an amazing river with multiple species fishing. Start at the power dam in Sault Ste. Marie for whitefish, salmon and trout then down to Munuscong Bay for walleye, pike, muskie and perch, then finish up trolling for salmon and lake trout in De Tour.

Congrats on 10K! A great milestone for sure and well deserved! Watching your videos these past several years and seeing how passionate you are about fishing has rekindled my own passion for the sport! My favorites vids are Craig Lake, Sylvania Wilderness, and 3 Days In The Wild (225 fish), love those my brother. I carry a small plano case in my truck with a fishing rod so when traveling, I can stop and do some impromptu fishing while out and about. I never know what kind of fish I will find. My question to you is, what 10 lures would you keep in your box to cover most fish that you could encounter. I do not have space for a full tackle box so having the small box is all I can do. Awesome job on the 10K subscribers though. We love your videos.
@HaightsWanderings
@HaightsWanderings Жыл бұрын
@Henry Heise I think I could break that down to a top three or four lures and actually be fine. Small tacklebox is no problem at all - the issue depends on what species you will run into.

Did you notice an increase in fishing pressure this last summer? I seemed to struggle as summer went on, and don’t know what else to attribute it to. Weather conditions were great all year as were water levels. Some heavy rains but nothing wild talking to friends who live there. It seems I’ve seen more people around the area, and see more UP decals on cars around home (SE WI). For years I could go to most any spot and wouldn’t even dream about someone being there. Now I find myself praying nobody is there. Hope last year was a fluke.

@HaightsWanderings Жыл бұрын
@Paul Kasper There are actually large fly fishing communities in the greater Chicago area. I guarantee it. Probably places to go and learn and practice your cast. It's always best to practice first on dry, flat, ground without any hooks to get the cast down and then to try the actual activity in a river.
