In this week's Closet Confessions, our mission is to breathe new life into old favourites. After culling, donating, and hours of deliberating, the next step in my wardrobe revival journey is to take the clothes that still deserve a place in my closet and work with an open mind (or perhaps a pair of scissors) to style them up and transform them into something that feels fresh.

🤍•🤍 Loved BOTH Looks 🤍•🤍 What a way to 💫transform💫 a ⛪️mumsy or ladies who lunch🍽 dress in a ⚡️formidable & glamorous way. The edge or juxtaposition of styles truly saved it from formal frump territory👵. Thought Trinny SLAYED👩‍🎤 them each. It's just that in RECREATING these outfits in my own wardrobe I'm much more likely to have the "Molly finds". ¹Have a handful of joyful bright tops that I love, but am clueless😔 how to style w/all my dark neutrals. ²Utility &/or combat military-esque cropped trousers are a staple in my closet. 🤍Love their elegant masculine simplicity & lightweight breathabilty of those cropped fabrics in my extreme climate🥵. (🚫👖 or thick classic chinos for me〰️as an hourglass⏳️ I dislike their heavier weight & structure😂.) ³My metallic bling extends to bags, sandals, & some sneakers. 🤩Trinny's stash of shimmery sparkly style pieces is mind🤯blowing. As a magpie, I delight in it. I am a c-o-n-s-e-r-v-a-t-i-v-e classic & glamour leaning ultra feminine gal w/a bold bit of anti-establishment. 😊Could 100% rock that two-tone dress as a topper layer. 😈Trinny's tempting me to branch out into some UNDERSTATED ✨️shine✨️. 🤔Could picture myself in that turtleneck & pleated skirt as a BASE layer. 😊Trinny rocks gray! Used to dislike the color on myself😖. Once thought it was rather lack luster & insipid, but I've come to appreciate it's elegance, tradition, & power. She helped me finally figure out that it was gray w/WARM undertones that turn my complexion sickly🤢. ✨️Cool grays make my complexion pop✨️. 🥰Adore gray tonal looks now too. Nothing pleases me more than that continuous column of monochromatic color. It's so slimming & elongating↕️. 😉Just choose to wear any neutral or warm gray undertones on a base layer or bottom piece⬇️ . Also add a red lip💄 & slighter darker blush if one of those grays is toward the top half. 🤫That's what I love about Fashion Rules. 😊Yes, it probably would be rather striking over an all navy base. That purply pink & navy seem super compatible. 🤔Had my doubts about the silver metallic w/the dress turned topper, but on my cell📲 it also made the beige read as more gray which I liked👍. This is absolutely fantastic. I don’t have any idea how to style my clothes. Especially the last few years was the pandemic and then I got ill for months and now I spend all of my time in pyjama pants at home if you could do another one of these was a model who is shorter. I think the Courrèges is such a special and rare piece I would not remove the collar. I actually think the difference between the collar tucked in / collar on show, in this case, is very minimal.

😊Yes, loved it. That light nylon fabric is actually one of my favorites. Usually it's quite lightweight, comfy, & breathable here to wear in🌡LA😎. The dark, moody color subdued the girly ruffles. Thought the puffy diagonal tiers were interesting & leaned grunge. The LS shirt underneath the bodice brought in an elegant vintage 50s vibe, & it reinforced a corset impression. I think the space jacket silver could be worn with a mock neck or turtleneck black . So very sleek on top. Then with a wide high low skirt on bottom. Then have high very chunky boots on bottom maybe lace up boots. Kind of give it a cool current yet flash back punk look. Just a suggestion. Embrace the weird puffiness of the jacket give it a hard edge instead of trying to make it soft.

Enjoyed seeing the ‘new’ looks with some older clothing. Adore the Prada dress with the MJ waistcoat. The kimono didn’t work for me with either look… I love a kimono but to make it more modern I would have worn it with the black jeans, Cos top and prada boots.
