You don't need to explain yourself to us, Carlie. As far as you and Steve breaking up.... This was your choice with Steve and there's nothing else that needs to be said. It sucks and it's hard and you will get through it. God DOES give us things that we can't handle without Him so that we learn to depend on Him. Lean on Him and smile everyday. Focus on your awesome, sweet son and protect him and love him and watch him grow. Don't let other people's judgments get you down. No one else's opinions matter in your life. Ahh, this video seriously moved me. I have loved watching your videos for years and it makes me sad to see how hard things have been for you. With that being said, I think that you are SUCH a powerful woman and show so much strength through your hardships that those of us who watch you on YT are always left inspired and with a want to better ourselves. You should make this a segment on your channel 'Closet Chats (or Confessions) with Carlie' lol. I started watching Shay's channel in I think the summer of 2009 and when you made your channel I started watching immediately because I always loved seeing your personality on Shay's channel - seeing how positive you are, how great you are when you interact with the kids, etc. Your videos were something I enjoyed watching when I came home from school when I was doing my Undergraduate Degree and then my post grad degree, as well. You really make me look forward to being a mom and remind me of how I want to be a great, independent woman. I love that you are able to face so many challenges and never stop trying. None of us can be perfect, but perseverance is what sets you a part from most people.

People always expect you to be perfect and Life's a little harder when we're not open minded or too busy being ignorant. Love's not an easy thing to do. Carlie, you make such a positive difference in so many peoples lives. I'm sure I'm just another fan girl, whatever you want to call it, but one message from you changed so much for me. It changed my whole perspective on everything. I was being put down by people I thought genuinely cared for me, I was super depressed. I was honestly suicidal. You took the time to message me. Even if it was some sort of copy and paste thing it triggered something inside of me. I realised that the people that wanted to see me fail didn't really care about me. That there are plenty of people who actually care and want to see me succeed. It's human nature to focus and dwell on the one negative thing out of hundreds of positives. I'm a couple days late on the vlogs because of work and other life stuff but I wanted to post a comment anyways. Carlie, I've been watching you for what seems like forever now & I, along with many other people, have watched you go through so much in the just couple years you've been making videos. And it really amazes me how you stay so positive through all the comments and all the hate that you get on top of all the personal stuff you've been through. And you still continue to be as open and honest as possible with us. It's insane to me. Most people would stop putting so much out there or just stop vlogging in general if they got as much hate as you do but you continue fight through the haters and because of that you inspire so many people. Life is never perfect which is why I hate the fact that KZbinrs, celebrities, and anyone else in the public eye are put on a pedestal and held at higher standards than everyone else. Then when they mess up or make a mistake in life, it always gets blown out of proportion because somehow they are supposed to be perfect. Like if your single mom friend and her boyfriend break up will you give her hell about it like people gave Carlie hell? No probably not. There's plenty of single parents out there who have had situations like Carlie's happen before including my mom. But because Carlie puts her life on KZbin, suddenly that means that she's not allowed to? I doesn't make sense to me sometimes. But Carlie, just know that you are loved and that most of us out here really do understand you. You really inspire a whole lot of people. Stay strong and keep fighting off the haters.

Carly, I absolutely love your vlogs! You tell it like it is and unfortunately some people just don't appreciate it. I have no idea what gives someone the inclination to write something mean about you on the internet. Nobody should have to deal with that on top of the stuff that we all have to deal with on a daily basis. I'm a single mum aswell and whatever other people say, it is a full on job and blessing at the same time!
