Mental/emotional abuse and coercive control are JUST AS TRAUMATIC AND DAMAGING to the psyche as physical abuse is to the body AND mind. And frequently mental/emotional abuse DOES escalate to physical abuse, which appears to be what happened in this case. It is VERY CLEAR to anyone who has experienced the cycle of DA/DV or to anyone familiar with the cyclical nature and TRAUMATIC EFFECTS of DV, that this woman is/was a victim of DV. Honestly. I wish i had taken my kids away from their father . I was only 15 he was 21 when i got pregnant. He was mentally abusive. I was always up against a brick wall trying to raise them with him. He would do everything to work agaisnt me. I was to young and he was to controlling. I lost the battle. I would never hurt him because he is there father. But he didnt make my relationship with my kids easy. And for that they suffer. If i was stronger and older. I would have taken them far away from him.

The prosecution has a very large gap between behaviors of the past and the actual day of the incident. She acknowledges that the husband is not a good person and his behavior was not acceptable. She then says Ashley's was just as bad. Therefore making both sides DYSFUNCTIONAL and culpable and responsible for what happened. . So NOTHING leading up to the shooting is applicable to the day of the shooting. What matters is the day of the shooting. The prosecution MUST PROOVE beyond all reasonable doubt and they FAILED TO DO THIS!!! It doesnt matter what everyone FEELS or senses or what experiences you may have related to this case. You can ONLY look at the EVIDENCE and unfortunately guilty or not there just is NOT enough evidance to PROVE beyond all reasonable doubt that it was not self defense. Ashley is INNOCENT until PROVEN GUILTY beyond all reasonable doubt by the DA and in this case the DA presented a very WEAK CASE that has allot of HOLES and GAPS that we will never be able to fill. Florida has the STAND YOUR GROUND LAW, and this gives the jury the ability to allow Ashley the benefit of the doubt becuase NONE OF THE EVIDANCE is strong enough to PROOVE guilt. I predict NOT GUILTY or a HUNG JURY!!!
