This tutorial is super fast and he skips a lot of important details. So I'll mention a few things that helped me. 1. Join mesh shortcut is Ctrl + J 2. If your shrinkwrap is going upwards that's because the floor also needs to be part of the car mesh. So Ctrl + J that to the Car too. 3. If you're having trouble with the cloth following the hook that's because the hook modifier needs to be on top of the cloth modifier. That's about it. You shouldn't run into any other problems. Just pay close attention to what he's doing. Obviously this isn't a beginner friendly tutorial so make sure you know the basics first.

hi, if your shrinkwrap isn't working, just change the offset value to 1, after you apply it put the thing back down on the car

Can this be adapted to making cloth simulation for hanging clothes on a nonmoving character model? I've been looking to put a robe on a couple of the dnd minus I've got models of so I can print them accurately but haven't figured out the cloth sim yet

I tried to do this with another car but I had an issue when I made the shinkwrap modifier: i did the same the samething than you but id doesnt fall on the floor, like there are just the parts on top of the car that fall , the rest stay at its initial position, do you have an idea why? thanks

My cloth pass in my collision mesh :( can someone help me please ? I tryed a simple cloth with same parameters on a simple model (a cube and a plane) and it has work.. but not with my car 😭

i wonder if everything broke in 3.5 or something else is wrong here. I tried another "10 minute" tutorial and everything acts pretty bad, and it has the same steps as yours. Hooking a vertex group that is also assigned to the pin group seems ok up until you move it. If you move your empty while the sim is running it will ruin the sim cache and its a pain to fix (have to turn off the modifiers).

I don't know if you found an answer yet, but this is not possible to animate in Lumion. Lumion only allows for transformation animations to be imported :(

it all came out great until i pressed ctrl f12, all it rendred was just one image and saving wasnt available there, yeh one file of 0 sec saved in the folder automaticaly whicg didnt even open , i watched and followed any other tutortials but nothing helped i evenn selected the lowest resolution but i didnt work either any solution

well you can use a denoise node in compositor go to the view layer properties tab and click denoise come to compositing tab and add a denoise node, plug all the channels correctly and there you go
