Lots of information here thank you. One question though as a newbie why did you set white balance to sunny when it looked more like a dull cloudy day

Good question! Most of the time when I shoot during daylight hours I will set my White Balance to Sunny/Daylight. Has I shoot many KZbin videos and save my photos in jpg/raw format. If I find that Sunny is to cool (blue) I will increase the WB to Cloudy

@@CharlesNPhotography Thanks for your reply. I only shoot in raw but I suspect the same would still apply ie if Sunny provides a bluish tint then increase WB to Cloudy. Please keep up the good work I am learning plenty

Do you use filters for 200-500? 95mm ones are kind of expensive

No! I don't use any filters on my Nikon 200-500mm f5.6, as I've found that using the hood stops any glare or dust going on the lens
