My favorite part of (Insert Tim and Eric's Awesome Show skit here): The gradual degeneration of the scene's believability and production quality. I always picture the crew as a bunch of dinguses from strange yet vaguely familiar cultures who are learning how to become journalists late in life. As they frantically scramble backstage to maintain any illusion that nothing is wrong, shit hits the fan. It's like once an actor got off the script or messed up their delivery and restarted, everyone in the crew fell back a step too, forever ruining their flow as an organized unit. You then watch their production go down the drain; cutting to wrong shots, shots being way too loud, incomplete titles and/or changing them without pulling them down first, dropouts to other programs or bars and tone, etc. Eventually the show is in shambles and the Technical Director is just switching to anything playing on the decks just to keep the show alive... The theme is still alive, but it has just lost all order or cohesiveness.
