Just so you know it's not the lightning that's persistent damage it's Steam when nami electrocutes the water it super heats it and instantly turns it into a gas which damages you. Nami is basically a toaster on legs. Please be careful not to drop him into your bathtub although I don't know why you'd bring a toaster into the bathroom anyway.

Just make sure you have guard up, I made the mistake of trying to fight him with the gunlance without it once and... uhhm... his water beam penetrated both my shield and anus and erased me from existence within 0.5 seconds. Ultimately what ended up working for me was a Safi'jiiva + Metal Rath DBs build, being able to exploit both his primary elemental weakness and one of his two main ailment weaknesses at the same time as well as the fast sheathing time making it easier to quickly do the superman dive when he goes full on Fleet Destroyer Palpatine mode made the fight so much less stressful... a shame the layered version of Artian armor you get using his tickets is the version where the colorable region is the gears rather then the metal plating, I wanna be a purple dragon killing robot god damnit
