I read a lot of comments about bill interrupting the guests, and sometimes I notice in more interviews than others, but this time, I have to comment because it might be the most glaring example...Stevie was about to start talking about a book he was writing, and I thought, cool! Who woulda thunk it! Tell me more Stevie! And bill then proceeds to interrupt, pick up HIS book, plugs it, talks about how funny he thinks the cover is, waxes on about his process etc. And then they literally NEVER get back to talking about what Stevie is writing...I'm still curious, no way he doesn't have some better stories than bill...take a breath Billy, let the man speak! What did you have him there for?

This isn’t an interview. This is supposed to just be Bill and a friend yapping. The cameras are hidden. They are meant to forget it’s even being taped. His guests don’t have an issue so why do you?

@Akkbar21 So, everyone at the same time read someone's comment and wants to copy it? Or does everyone notice the obvious? I watch because of the guests. Bill is smug and arrogant, yet I still like to hear what he says sometimes.
@Akkbar218 ай бұрын
@@laureencriss8220 glad you’re enjoying the content. To answer your question, I think some people want to post something negative, since Maher attracts political partisanship and is simply opinionated. So they see this narrative that he talks over people and it grows, but people nowadays are more copying it to ensure they’re part of the group and much less actually being influenced and changing their opinion by seeing other comments.

Karl Marx wrote his ideas in the 1870s, a period in which unregulated cutthroat capitalism produced mass income inequality (among other problems); the U.S. and the UK both dominated by Gilded Age tycoons who were apathetic abt so many laborers losing their lives in miserable working conditions. Marx, with good intentions, assembled a new economic approach to address the burgeoning struggle for workers rights, when unions were suppressed by robber barons and their monopolies (which very much controlled the Federal gov't). It was also a time before anyone understood ANYTHING about human psychology! Clueless about the innate human tendency for power-hoarding: Communism sounded good in a time greed was messing up society. Marx died in 1883. Communism wasn't attempted as a system until 1917. It was almost instantly proved unworkable, as a small group siezed power, centralized it, and lived well while forcing all their civilians to live in "shared poverty". As is the nature of human beings when they hoard sovereignty - whether in the form of pure wealth or political authority.

When you get right down to it, Bill doesn't know much about pop/rock music, and less about other genres. He likes to listen, but has clearly done little actual exploration.

Steven is such a decent man, what a gem. I only wish Bill let him speak more but ill watch any interview of him.

Steven is the only guest Bill's had, where Steven's shirt actually matches the chair he's sitting in.

Bill says he knows about music and doesn't know Waylon Jennings! So sad! But he knows rap! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Who is this guy

Artists of the., 60's. , including Springsteen, Dylan, Sting, Lennon, Collins, Bowie, and others sold their catalogs. Taylor Swift . Employs co-writers. Three artists ( research this one ) each is an expert at their genre. People who study trends, styles, etc. Inventive and creative geniuses in the direction of music! I always thought she sat on her bed writing , hit after hit alone 😔. Compared to the Beatles. Which one is a corporate machine?

He is being asked questions, I just heard/saw another, as I read your comment.

@@MyKingdomForAK9 Of course I didn’t mean literally. My point was that Bill speaks over his amazing guests when they attempt to answer his questions. A lot.

A legendary musician as a guest and Bill can’t wait to bring up he opened for The Four Seasons. Hilarious like when Dreyfus didn’t know he was falling out of his chair.

Why can't ppl of a certain age distinguish between " no one wants to work anymore " and " no one wants to work awful jobs ..anymore ".
@ADigbySellers8 ай бұрын
Same thing as always - no one ever wanted to work at an awful job. But they used to accept some responsibility and just move on without whining. Some ppl of a certain age are just spoiled, lazy and fragile. And they quit.
@johnjames54598 ай бұрын
There have always been "awful" jobs and there always will be. Previous generations knew that in order to provide for themselves and their families, they sometimes had to step up and do them.

What starting jobs do you think we had at 15 in 1981?
@user-mz1kt6iz4e8 ай бұрын
I never "wanted to work". I did it, but I never "wanted" to. That whole blue collar hero thing & proud to do a job even when you're getting dick for it is strictly an American neurotic disorder. You don't hear that line in other countries, & it shows. People here who just need something (anything) to call themselves "mattering" for will latch onto that one in a heartbeat. I was never pleased to be paid just a little for my time, effort, & skills that were making some other @$$w!pe richer. As soon as I could get out & retire, I did; & the bosses could kiss my @$$.
