Really enjoying this podcast and Cedric is always awesome. I mostly appreciate that regardless of where I agree or disagree with you on any topic, I appreciate that you welcome the conversation, make it entertaining, approach it thoughtfully, and though not specifically stated most times, you expose that the majority of us are on the same script when it comes to fundamental, humane, and moral issues when the shield of blind partisan allegiance is dropped.

The primary reason the Americans treated the Germans so well in P.O.W. camps was that they "looked like other white Americans"It wasn't unusual for American soldiers to have German ancestry only one generation away and felt closer to the Europeans than the Asians -in many cases while in prison, they could grow gardens and eat what they grew, form bands, and take on various other hobbies. Many actually gained weight while being prisoners. The Japanese prisoners in U.S. camps were not treated nearly as well. After WW2, many German soldiers just took off their uniforms & blended back into society.
