Sheed’s mental wasn’t even ‘different’ he just got a lot of techs and fines, so refs started really targeting any little thing he did. Referees do in fact throw techs at certain guys early as a ‘warning’ to not bother them after a call.

His only problem was that he didn't get along with his bosses. It doesn't matter how good you are at your job if your superiors don't like you. They (All Management in all fields of industry/business) will tolerate an incompetent, obedient employee much longer than they will with an excellent and productive employee that talks back.

Listening to Iggy @times & you'd swear he'd make a great Coach, Mentor... Then you listen to him Double Down in that Rasheed-Giannis comparison & it's like "Good thing that MF aint a GM"! Rasheed's game was made for THIS ERA of basketball, FACTS! He was a 2way playing Big who had a good midrange game along with being a good corner 3shooter! He definitely had that dawg in em. i see it same way. the way i put it is, Kerr is who you want coaching the team in the finals, while Jackson is the one you want to spot and develop. Kerr and Jackson both a part of the reason that GS has 4 in this era.

I entered college the same year (freshmen in 1993-94) as Rasheed Wallace and Jerry Stackhouse got to UNC…..I was a few miles down Tobacco Road wearing the darker blue. Actually had a run-end with Sheed and some UNC football players in college. *Rasheed Wallace* was a mega talent. Physically, he could have been as good as Giannis. *Tim Duncan* also entered Wake Forest as a freshmen that same year. Not as athletically gifted as Rasheed but more mature, fundamentally sound and focused on maximizing his skillset on the court. **It rarely is just only about the physical talent**

That’s not what he meant. He’s saying Rasheed is far more skilled than Giannis. Giannis is dominant but he has a lot of flaws skillwise in his game. Everyone is extremely talented in the league but confidence plays a key factor. Steph could have the same skill level but if he didn’t have the confidence to shoot the shots that he does than we’d be saying he trash

I think I understand. He said that to ensure that Steph had enough confidence to go against anyone. Also to push him to the very next level and lo and behold Steph is considered probably top 15 now. Maybe Mark Jackson saw that he needed that confidence boost. Let's not forget they were asking how long Steph would last with the dodgy ankles etc. I think it worked in the long run

@@tosink Your explanation completely makes sense, but I'm sure there are other cases that this kind of mindset backfired on the team. I'm thinking of players like Harden (in Houston) and Westbrook (in OKC) that always tried hard to get their numbers and it never worked out for the team. But I know Mark Jackson incredibly boosted the confidence in Steph and Klay. Just saying I can't believe this kind of attitude works positively every time.
