Those Desoto vs Allen games were so crazy especially when they played in Mesquite and at AT&T stadium. i watched kyler live my freshman year because I was in the band for my school. We played Allen, and this game the scouts and A and M HC came in a chopper that landed in our practice field. The best way to describe his playstyle was a squirrel you couldn't catch, I've never seen anyone "chuck" the ball down the field 50/60 yards with a perfect spiral, right on the money. His run game was crazy too, no one could catch him.

I watched Kyler play against Desoto in the playoffs! Your description is exact! Desoto coaches literally had that game in hand and screwed it up! And there was Kyler, imitating as if he was Tom Brady!!! Marched Allen right down the field and won the game!!! He escaped immense pressure like a magician! Allen went to the next game and won the title! But that game against Desoto was truly the state championship game!!! Desoto was the better team. But Kyler was the best player on the field!

Johnny is from East TX himself. It's a real toss up between it and Dade County Florida on who produces the kind of talent that goes onto the NFL.

Let’s not get it twisted now. Mahomes is next level without a doubt, arguably in the goat title with a SB or two on top of what he has now. Saying that! Kyler was not human in HS & College. He was literally Superman with no kryptonite

Did Shay ask Manzil how he felt seeing Kyler Murray blow up at Kliff Kingsbury on the sidelines, and that relationship? Seems like Manziel has/had love for both Kyler and Kliff.

Texas is the only state that draws 50k + fans for a state championship game. No other state comes close. I know a few years ago Florida 8k and GA drew 12k for the state championship games at the highest level.

It’s true. Mahomes is the better NFL QB, but Murray dominated as a HS QB. I remember watching him play in the 2014 state championship game, Allen vs Cypress Ranch. He went 42-0 in high school as a starter.
