The very best lesson I've seen online. You're patient enough to go over the parts clearly and slowly. Mucho thanks.

Thank you for the banjo lessons! You are straight forward, to the point and go slow enough for a beginner to follow. You are appreciated here in the Ozarks of Arkansas :)

Hey thanks for watching! It's a Gold Tone WL-250. Part of why it sounds better is that it costs more. A Goodtime has a maple neck and a completely different tone ring. Lots of different little things that are added as you pay more basically. Strings used here are Ernie Ball Earthwood Frailing strings.

Thanks Mandy, I had been using Mike Iverson's tab for this. The way I play :(... Your lesson enables me to get some speed and it just seems to flow better.

Is there a reason you use the first string on the fifth fret instead of just using the fifth string? Thanks. Love the tune and this is my first time with sawmill tuning, which is great fun.
@BanjoLemonade6 жыл бұрын
Yes actually. The 5th string is never used for the melody of a song. If you were to do that it would throw off your rhythm. Then if you were to ever attempt double thumbing or drop thumbing you would have big problems also. Glad you are enjoying it Zale.

@BanjoLemonade6 жыл бұрын
Hey, this just now showed up in my comments. Sorry for the delay in responding. The banjo played here is a Gold Tone WL-250. I also frequently play a CC-OT by them. I am a small-time dealer in their products. Have a great day!

Do you have a tab sheet or know of any online that viewers can play along with? I’m dyslexic and struggle to learn if I don’t have the piece of music in front of me. Also, this is one of the best versions I’ve heard being taught. A lot of the other lessons on here don’t seem to be in the right tuning, this is perfect though
@BanjoLemonade3 жыл бұрын
This is in sawmill (G modal) tuning. Yes I have tabs for this at my website. $5/month gets you my video lessons and tabs. www.banjolemonade.com/join

This song, these notes sound much better slower. This should be a more serious song. The lyrics are silly. They're fine mind you but for these notes I I hear a more serious song
