I made myself a glue gun holder out of the Jenga blocks a couple of months ago. My Dollar Tree doesn't have a wood section yet so the Jenga blocks were the only thing I had to use. I didn't paint mine but I love the color you painted yours. I may have to get some of that chalk paint and give mine a coat. TFS.

Very nice glue gun holder and I must say quite creative. It's so very different than the ones I have seen other crafter make, with cardboard and contact paper or fabric OR wood $1 Tree boxes and a metal kitchen dough chopper. You are so right though, the gold and blue look so good together. I noticed the blue chalk paint when you opened the jar looked a little bright on camera. Once you did the white chalk paint as a primer and then 2 coats of the blue chalk paint, the blue looked much darker and really great with the gold on the frame and the gold glitter accents. About applying the glitter, Mod Podge when used with stencils is really hard to do since when it's applied it can go on clumpy, whether you use a brush or a sponge, and it seaps under the plastic stencil. I was thinking while watching you apply the Mod Podge if Spray Adhesive might work better for you. The adhesive spray won't run or clump like Mod Podge and seap under the stencil. This way you will have a crisp stencil of whatever you choose to add to your crafts. Your husband is correct when he says not to mix wood glue and the hot glue together. Actually, hot glue shouldn't be mixed with E6000 glue either. What happens is the wood glue or E6000 glue cools off the hot glue drying it too quickly and then a big clump of dried glue is left on your craft and nothing sticks together because your wood glue or E6000 glue never made contact with the pieces of wood. What you can do is put your wood glue or E6000 glue on what you are crafting, but leave space to add Hot Glue too (for quick setting...even if it's a dot in each corner). Just make sure the glues aren't touching. The hot glue makes contact and quickly sets, thus giving the wood glue or E6000 glue time to dry for howevver long you need. I hope this helps a little. As someone who used glitter. Before you start place glitter in a salt shaker to have more control over the monster. Then I will take a dryer sheet to get the static off the paper. Then I lightly sand the paper. This will help control the glitter. Just a thought 😊

Pre-mix the glitter and mod podge then stipple it on the stencil, its much easier that way.

Love this idea... A little advice about the glitter, when your using a stencil, firstly dab the glue over the stencil you want to use, once you've finished with the glue leave everything where it is for about a minute, then carefully lift up your stencil, clean your edges with a cotton bud or tissue and then sprinkle the glitter over the glue, finally tap the excess back into the glitter bottle, that way your not getting everything stuck together or looking like you went to a 70's disco... ...👩🏼‍🎤👨‍🎤👩🏽‍🎤...
