Clunky DCT Shifting? E92 M3 DCT Fluid Top Up DIY E90 E93 Overheat Error Code

Today I top up Carl’s E93 M3 DCT fluid to fix his overheat error code and clunky shifting issue. His dual clutch transmission was leaking oil and the low fluid level was causing issues over time. This DIY DCT fluid top up is a viable option over replacing the expensive DCT oil and service. We used the cheaper Liqui Moly 20044 8100 Dual Clutch Gear Oil.

This video is too helpful. I have the same symptoms in my e92 335is. Reverse backing up its sluggish and the shifts are pretty hard as well as I get the overheating code. Hope this solves my issue I’m just gonna do a whole dct service at this point

@@naders5 absolutely. Fcp euro sells a trans kit for the N54 dct. Pretty affordable too not too bad for the price. Only thing that was a bitch was filling it up but that’s all good.

@@shawngoodridge4577 yes. It fixed em immediately. The kit is well worth it. If you can try to do the injector seals as well. Just saves time for the long run

Just stock wheels with no spacers. The fitment with lowering springs is great!

Hey Sal, nice video. I just purchase 2015 Jaguar F-Type 2dr coupe base. I from San Francisco California and I want to do the Mina galley intake mod and fc foster super wine mod. Also modified muffler replacing resonator with straight pipes. I have all the parts purchased I just don’t know where to go for first two parts done. For modified muffler might go to San Jose to get it done. Any recommendations will help. Thanks

I can install the intake and whine mod for you. For the modified muffler it will need to be done at a muffler shop. Classic muffler in San Jose is great 👍

Not sure about the temps as it’s not my car. Carl said he was getting overheat message on the idrive.

@@Sals_Garage Yea I'm usually around 75-80C highway, traffic gets up to 97C but still not overheat errors which is why I ask

@@nemanjajovanovic3255 yea definitely needs to be hotter. Transmission usually runs up to 210 F normally.
