Another fact people always forget is that Jordan's 40 to 50 points came against Clyde drexler, Clyde's 40 to 50 points came against Air Jordan and Scottie pippen 🤔. Just things that people don't think about when they compare Clyde the Glide drexler to Michael Air Jordan 😅🏀

Comparison between Clyde the Glide Drexler and Michael Air Jordan by mainstream sports media was FAIR but inaccurate at the same time . First of all when properly observed you can see that they're two different types of players. Air Jordan is a shot dominant alpha scorer , and an alpha personality like Magic and Bird , who was given the ultimate Green light to do whatever he wanted to do on the court at any given time, from the day he was drafted, it's well documented the bulls organization was trash , they had Reggie Theus( who got moved out for Jordan) as their All Star point guard who averaged 5.9 assist , and the Bulls was such a trash team that when Air Jordan got drafted and got busy the bulls became known as the "Jordanaires" (pka Bulls) for a long time. He led his team in scoring from the start , his team had 2 years of a losing record he only had Olando Woolridge as the only player to share the ball with , . Clyde the Glide on the other hand was not an alpha personality like Magic , Bird or Air Jordan ( and this guy should be thankful that he wasn't) and got the opposite end of the green light when he came in the league because he played for Jack Ramsey who was known for not liking to play rookies. It was hard for a guy like Clyde who since college always did what the coach wanted him to do which was to be a super athletic role player , Clyde the glide was averaging 15 points a game throughout his entire college career,although he was the most athletically gifted on his team outside of Hakeem olajuwon, Clyde was always a cog in the machine , he was never the scoring alpha male .also when Clyde the glide came to the Portland trail blazers he had to deal with two All Stars strongly manning the only two positions that he could play on the team , hence another reason why he couldn't become a starter the first year, those two players were Kiki vandewe and Jim Paxton. Plus good old Jack Ramsey didn't believe in giving the keys to any one player, so Clyde had a slow start to his career because of this. Where as Jordan was able to take over the team right away when he got drafted in 1984, Clyde the Glide drexler who was drafted in 1983 was allowed to take over his team in 1986 the same year he made his first All-Star appearance. Clyde the glide Drexler's team was never nicknamed after him, his team before his time and during his time with them was always the Portland trail blazers ( unlike Jordan and the Jordanaires).

Loved Clyde. He was very underrated, which is crazy because he is still considered one of the top 50 of all time...G O.A T.

If I drafted a starting 5 I would have: Clyde "the glyde" Drexler at SG, Bird at SF, LeBron at PF, Chamberlin at C and Pippen at PG... That's right. No MJ, Magic or Shaq.... Kobe, Iverson, Rodman, Curry, Luka, Grant Hill and Kareem can come off my bench Phil Jackson is my head coach Tex Winters is my offensive assistant coach Tom Thibodeau is my defensive assistant coach
