Honestly, I don’t think those blocks should count. They weren’t technically brick blocks, as they were blocks that were disguised to look like brick blocks. So it still counts.

Im not sure if you mean the last level. Because thats not 8-4 and it was already proven possible in this video. I also watched the any% world record video for this game and they do hit the brick blocks for those switches

By 8-4 I mean 8-4. Yes, I know he proved it possible, but he took it very slow and made it really hard on himself. Playing 8-4 like an any% route would have been a lot faster and easier because you’re outrunning all the spider enemies.

You should do these challenges like Nathaniel bandy, as in playing the game as normal and only once you find an impossible level you go for a secret exit rather that going straight for the secret exits automatically

You should mention that you beat Deluxe without bricks, not just normal NSMBU, because that means you can't pop bricks with the gamepad.

I believe World 1-4 can be beaten without the mini mushroom. Mario can throw a koopa troopa shell and bounce of that when it is on top of the bricks.
