Not-so-subtle hint that the long-awaited Planet Robobot video is coming soon? Yay! I just did a casual playthrough of that game myself over the last couple of days, and while the jumpless (or, rather, minimum-jump) challenge shouldn't end up with nearly as high a number of mandatory jumps as Triple Deluxe, it is still clear that when it comes to the jumpless challenge, the developers hate you. Why else would the only Robobot form that has a jump replacement (namely Parasol) be the one that you're least often given access to?

0:59 according the the NES mario manual, the blocks are made of toads, not bricks. So by doing this run, you are technically saving toads.

A: That was only Mario 1. Peach reversed the curse at the end of the game. B: The same manual states that it's the bricks that give you things that are Toads, and that the things they give you are a reward for setting them free. Conclusion: No bricks in this game specifically are Toads, and even if they were, none of the bricks that break are Toads! Ergo, brick touching has no moral implications and this challenge should only be completed for entertainment purposes.

One question about the technicalities of what is a brick: What about bricks that are secretly "?" blocks? Like, the ones that have coins or power-ups hidden inside them? If you hit one with a koopa shell or something, they won't look like bricks anymore - are you then clear to touch them?

There was a good chance that this challenge's outcome depended on its brother game, and looks like they matched as predicted.
