Great video! Simply a well done, complete video without a bunch of extra stuff and fluff to confuse the situation. Thanks again for all the hard work in putting together these videos and please keep them coming!

The timing of this video was perfect! I just started having reliability issues with my CMMG dedicated upper setup. Gutted and cleaned it (by hand) and ordered a spring replacement kit from Brownells. This detailed video was very helpful. Probably order some spare extractors and firing pins next. I am also going to start running it with my buffer and spring in the gun because I was noticing some carrier shift without it. The collar was backing off of the barrel extension in the chamber and I was getting all kinds of failures to fire. I also think that is what was giving me failures to extract as well, because the extractor looked fine. Only about 1,000 rounds through the gun so far.

I have a similar setup. But I use a magwell adapter to run the S&W Mags. Which makes it so much nicer. I hate the cmmg Mags. They suck to load, unless you have a good loader which I haven’t found. And if they are fully loaded the cmmg Mags seem to jam on the first few rounds. I think my adapter is made by “ better mag”. I think that’s who made it. Love it.

Wesley Pipelayer how much did you get it for and where?
@wesleypipelayer76275 жыл бұрын
SoCalFisher23. KZbin sucks. It took forever for it to allow me to see your comment/question. brownells. It’s a little fussy. But the mag adapter is well worth it. Rather than loading cmmg magazines.

I have the same cmmg bolt, 4.5” barrel kit. It has been flawless to this point. With a Hera SFU, tailhook, and TA poly lower, it makes one FUN range plinker. I can’t wait til my son gets big enough to shoot it.

As simple as an AR is without the right tools and knowledge and skill you can mess one up if you don't know what you are doing. That is why after watching assembly video's I went with complete upper and lower from PSA.

How does the barrel/breech adapter secure to the barrel/chamber extension??? I'm going to try and remove the one on my Douglas heavy barrel...had it built back in the mid 90s by Derrick Martin of Accuracy Speaks in AZ...he used Red Loctite to secure the adapter, so I'll need to heat it with a Bernz-o-Matic...

You want to show people how dirty an AR can get? But you used a 22 blow back instead of a 223/556 gas impinged system. So it sounds like you are going to show me how dirty a Ruger 10-22 that LOOKS like an AR can get. Apples to oranges, Gents. Try again and remember your ammo must be at least 40 grains to be a real AR.
