I can’t listen to this song without thinking of my friend Eric. He was an amazing guy, and friend. Everyone loved Eric, and I’m so glad I got to be a part of his life. Tragically he died in a motorcycle accident, but he died doing what he loved to do. He was everyone’s friend, and that’s no exaggeration, he was everyone’s friend. So many loved him. Watching this makes me remember the time Zac Brown played at McGonigel’s Mucky Duck in Houston (the best place to hear live music). I bought his CD that night and as I was leaving Zac was standing outside and he signed the CD for me. I was impressed that he was so approachable down-to-earth. Not long after that he made it big time. So glad I got to see him perform in such an intimate venue as McGonigel’s Micky Duck.
