I speak French as a second language and follow French politics. Dear Americans! Have you ever watched a presidential candidate's interview in France during an election? Certainly not. It is remarkable how much knowledge a presidential candidate needs to possess and, more critically, how much detail he/she must grasp. The degree of intelligence is astonishing. Even the smallest grammatical error during an interview almost automatically disqualifies a candidate from the position. Needless to say, a moronic candidate such as Donald Trump would have zero chance of winning after uttering his indigestible word salad.

He didn't use word salad, he's a businessman, he speaks straight to the point and makes concluding decisions earlier than you can process the problem. He's far from moronic. He said the two magic words, we have to train and re-skill people, and that's one of the core points in order to understand any new technology, you have to adopt, you have to train and you have to rethink about your work and your job. And the big difference between the US and Europe is who is responsible to learn something new, and there is a big responsibility in ourselves to actually adopt and see how we can use a new technology. We cannot just leave it to everyone else to do that, or just take what we get from the tech giants. We have to find new ways to leverage on that new technology. But he's absolutely right in the responsibility when it comes to that, and we can enforce certain environment that helps people, especially young people, to thrive on that. I clearly did not expect this interview setup, quite interesting to see that perspective and how far AI or this AI summer compared to the longer AI winter has come so far.
