I’ve been repairing iPhones since they first launched and I’ll tell you right now, the iPhone 11 and 11 pro are built from very very very cheap materials. Same materials as the iPhone XR internally and cheaper materials than any of the previous models. So far I’ve seen two common issues with iPhone 11/11 pro/ Pro Max so far and both are internal motherboard issues. Front/rear cameras not working with no Face ID and “searching no service” baseband issues. Im 100% sure these two issues will become very common repairs for these models. They are two very hard repairs to do also. iPhone 6 had “searching no service” iPhone 6 Plus “no touch” iPhone 7/7 plus “no audio” searching no service issues” iPhone X had too many issues iPhone 11/11 pro/Max “searching for service” and no front/rear camera/no Face ID... so far

There are so many feature on androids that is just gimmicky lack of reliability. Androids wanted to get ahead of Apple but failed to do better. iPhone Hardware and Software to this date are far more advance than those in android, iPhone can be use for 5 solid years fast and up to date. Face Id is a very good example of Apple’s innovation when most android make facial recognition gimmicky without Apple’s superior components that truly take 3d depth mapping android devices can be fooled by just a picture. While android raising to get ahead of apple packing too much feature like super slowmo, air gesture and 5g that are not ready yet and no practical use. I mean super slowlo are effing too boring to watch taking the fun out of it. Too much of everything is not better. User Experience is the Most Important essence in technology to go further.

@@cjgx88891) face id on Android is not a security feature, it's a convenience feature - there's a difference. Android phone manufacturers have never focused on face id mimicking, instead they are trying to go bezel-less, which is hard to do with face id components, that's why Android has in-screen finger print scanners, some having 3d mapping to make much harder to fool, and why Android phones look more futuristic than Apple phones. If you want an example of an Android phone that does face id right, Hawaii pro 20 did it securely like apple. 2) Android phones released over the past 4 years can and have last 4+ years, with fast performance from a user stand point. Just that they don't get updated after 2-3 years due to the individual manufacturers being lazy. That will be fixed with Android 10(from a security patching aspect, which is what is most important about keeping a device long term).

When Steve Jobs died, Apple itself started to die. I'm not a big fan of Steve, etc but there's no denying that he focused on innovation, no matter the cost. Tim Cook on the other hand is focused on shareholders and his bonus. Apple will never change as long as people keep overpaying for underwhelming products.

Jobs focused on how consumers used the devices in their daily lives. That's why even if the technology is not new, the product as a whole brings a new innovative and useful experience. Cook is focused on numbers, as you say. Samsung just throws everything on the wall and see what sticks.

Sounds like Apple gets that smartphones have reached maturity, meaning that there's nothing amazing in the pipeline for anyone. Like it or not smartphones 20 years from now will probably largely similar to those we had in 2013, just like our passenger jets are largely similar to the ones we had 50 years ago. There's no need to flail around looking for the next big smartphone feature because there isn't one, so why make gimmicky folding phones that don't even work well? Companies just have to accept that it's slowing down and becoming less exciting. The same thing happened to computers in the 2000s and Apple didn't sweat it, they just moved to the next new exciting thing. More exciting things will come, but they won't be smartphones. Could be self-driving cars, could be anything.
