Like Warren Buffet said, dividends are only good if the business you’re investing into can’t make good use of that capital. So if you’re trying to invest into businesses with actual growth, looking at dividends is a waste of time. Why are you investing into a company if they’re returning capital to you because they think you can make better use if it than they can. It’s not much different from bond investing. The way I see it if you have a $1 million at some point, that’d be enough to create a portfolio that would pay you between 50k-70k in dividend income...
@alexyoung3126 Жыл бұрын
It's not difficult, but you have to learn and handle. Another thing is that if you can't manage your home, maybe you shouldn't invest on your own. If so, you should hire a CFP to help you diversify your assets to include ETFs/index funds/mutual funds and stocks of companies with consistent cash flows, rather than betting on penny stocks.

A lot of folks downplay the role of advisors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for license advisors and came across someone of due diligence, helped a lot to grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to approx. $850k so far.
@lawerencemiller9720 Жыл бұрын
Over the following 3 months, I want to increase my reserve from $280,000 to at least $550,000. I would be grateful for any advice you can give on how to accurately predict the market and how to diversify and balance my portfolio in order to accomplish my goal.

Managing money is different from accumulating wealth, and the lack of investment education in schools may explain why people struggle to maintain their financial gains. Not sure if BRKA bought more shares of KHC in Aug 2019 or March 2020 or not. But sure Warren was absolutely spot on in assessing that KHC was overpriced and the market agreed with that assessment. For the past few days the price of BTC has been fluctuating which means the market is currently unstable and you cant tell if it is going bearish or bullish. while others still continue to trade without the fear of making lose, others are being patient.

I haven't read about NetJets in a while, but I thought you paid an annual fee and then from there you paid hourly rates for flights (plane costs, catering, etc) which you could prepay for up to 25-50 hrs per year. So, getting a free card is pretty generous. Its up to you to load it though.

Yea, that's true however cryptocurrencies are incredibly volatile and offer no guarantee that they will be worth anything in the future. The cryptocurrency market can shift completely overnight. I am hopeful that the technology will be able to become more feasible and reliable in the future but it has a long way to go.

Fascism creates monopolies like the big four banks that have taken over most of the market share. The corporations lobby to get the best Government that money can buy. Walmart toke out all the mom and pop stores to create a monopoly. Everything has gone the way of chains , big money and greed.

Its worse than in bed, he practically funds the current system of debasement. Banks bring down the world economy ? Buy a bank. Almost recovered from the last crisis ? Buy another bank. Ironically, because Jamie Dimon is SO two faced, Buffet now has a position in crypto currencies, since JP Morgan has an official policy of manipulating markets they are getting into, and have been dissing crypto at the same time they have been buying into it big time !

He's not biased, he doesn't see it as a viable investment and he's right. There is no such thing as investing in a currency.
