The rising interest rate can surely control inflation, but won't prevent erosion of the eroding purchasing power of the US dollar. I have learnt my lesson this time. The banks can't be making money off my money, while inflation eats into it. Crazy prediction, yes. But Russel 2000 did similar thing in 2020 and in a number of years during rate cut cycles. Russel 2000 needs a catalyst (aka falling inflation rate) and a rate cut confirmation from the FED; Then a 40% upside wouldn’t surprise me.
