Their long lines came when they brought sandwiches and baked items that take 2-3 minutes to cook. This holds everyone else up who is there just to get coffee. In other words Starbucks are mostly in locations where there is no one competing in that price range. This in turn makes them $2-$4 higher than other chains around them. They need to limit the menu for speed issues, get back to basics, and put their product at a competitive price.

I am so glad. I stopped going to Starbucks when they jumped from 5.95 to 7.15 in three months. I order Blue Mountain coffee & make it myself which is 30.00 for 1lb whole gourmet beans.
