I have been on Wegovy for over a year, lost 90 pounds and the health benefits overall are amazing. My PCP wasn't that familiar with the medication and now is prescribing it more and more. I'm 65 years old, and went from 300 to 210 in the past 18 months or so.

As a person with PCOS, Insulin resistance and prediabetes it is an absolute abomination that US insurances don’t cover these medications for these purposes and that Eli Lilly charges an arm and a leg for them.

Eating good food, exercising and rest is too hard for most. Having this new drug makes it easier to be healthy.

It's not always about conventional ways of losing weight. I'm 54 and been an athlete my entire life. Menopause hit my azz and my metabolism went to pits. I couldn't lose weight to save my life. I'm on a low dose of zepbound where I'm not chasing my hunger. 1 month in and I'm 7 lbs down. Think about it.

Agree that it's an amazing drug for pre-diabetes but Lilly's not helping given the high costs and most US health insurers making it difficult for patients to have accessibility. If it could be available to all on an affordable basis _ it'll save so many folks from becoming diabetic in US.
