So glad you made this. I was looking for a relatively inexpensive way to machine acrylic to have better clarity and this should do the trick

OMG! Short, to the point and told me everything I was looking for. Thank you. I just bought the same mist system and was trying to figure out how to connect it to my air compressor.

I've had one for a few years but just found they get away to foggy in the shop. Just made my own fog Buster

I was hoping to see mist instead of nearly a stream of coolant. Can it be adjusted to roughly 99% air and 1% coolant so its actually a mist ? It will be more suitable for small lathes and small mills.

Hello Russ, Excellent video! Do you know if we have any extended hose available for the water pipes as they are not long enough for some applications? Thanks.

Hi there seems to be some saying that inhaling the mist could be an issue for your lungs. Any thoughts I’m a 74-year-old newbie.

DCTSolutionsAU, Is it true that in your neck of the woods you need to install these upside down, otherwise it will spray upward?

so far could you tell me if with this mist coolant system you experienced some rust or problems between table and the vise?
@russtuff4 жыл бұрын
Nope, but I also do this. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hpXYpaGEYs6Lbtk

@@russtuff thanks for answering! only few questions: 1) could be used flood coolant in the mist system or is not adequate? 2) moly high pressure oil under the vise to prevent rust and is ok 3) which oil to lubrificate the gibs and sliding surfaces?
@russtuff4 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure, I would consult the manufacturer of whatever coolant you're using. I use Mobile Vactra 2 way oil.

how small of compressor can you use?
@russtuff3 жыл бұрын
Hmmm that's a good question. It's going to come down to how much air you want to flow. I think I get an hour of machining from my 60 gallon tank but if I get some time I'll test it.

@@russtuff if the air pressure is low but stable, say 0.5bar, is there any spray?
@russtuff Жыл бұрын
Maybe a tiny bit, but in my opinion the spray is less important than the air. The spray will definitely help keep the tool lubricated, but it doesn't do anything to clear the chips. I've started cranking my pressure higher and higher just to blow the chips out of the way.
