I’m fourteen and I knew Tetris is winnable. We have a Nintendo Gameboy and if you get 100,000 points you get a rocket taking off.
@Bamfhammer5 жыл бұрын
None of the Tetris games are winnable in the sense that the game stops when you reach a certain point except for the Grand Master games. You can achieve the highest ending after earning so many points, which is, in the classic Tetris, a UFO that causes St. Basil's Cathedral to blast off... but the game continues and the difficulty increases until you cannot react fast enough to win. Gameboy Tetris had a more elaborate level score achievement ending, but again, the game continued if you wanted it to. The Grand Master games actually stopped when you beat the last level, which involved incredibly fast blocks that vanished when you placed them so you had to remember exactly where they ALL were when playing. In total, there are 6 people who have beaten Tetris. She is not one of them. I am not calling her a liar. I am sure she achieved the highest level on NES or Gameboy or something like that. But she has not beaten Tetris in the "there is no more game to play" sense.

I see now, why you were so confident the blocks would stack up very high, up to the ceiling. With so detailed postprocessing of the inner corners, the blocks really stack well, and what a coincidence they all together form a nice 4x14 tower (8:22) - perfect. Nice work!
@EvanAndKatelyn6 жыл бұрын

And, to be clear, the Tetris theme is a classical Russian song called Korobeiniki, so it should totally be in the public domain. In other words you're good to have it in your video. Though, I'm not sure what the ruling is on individual performances.

This project perfectly shows off how cnc robots let you pull something off quickly. It would have been so much harder for you guys to pull this off if you had to create the blocks manually. Also, chipmunk E&K almost had be spitting out coffee.
@HeyItsJonSchwartz6 жыл бұрын
Sorry didn't finish watching before I posted. Syntax Error in my brain... stealing that. Also, I'm going to clap when someone says Bye.
@EvanAndKatelyn6 жыл бұрын
Oh yeah, we couldn't have done the project this fast without the CNC for sure. Haha glad our high pitched selves could cause a lol! Haha we soooo wanna clap when someone is saying goodbye now but then we would have to apologize and show them the end of this video for context!
@HeyItsJonSchwartz6 жыл бұрын
I didn't want to say you couldn't have done it because I have seen the E&K work ethic in action and know that you technically have it in you. Though, you'd show up having not slept for 3 days. I think Simone was talking about golf clapping which would come off condescending or something, but a thunderous applause would be confusing but appreciated with no other context.

Haha yes, definitely would have shown up like zombies! Thunderous applause is always appreciated 😜😜

6:08 I feel like, seeing as how they are Tetris blocks, which are meant to fit together in a grid, that you could have gotten A LOT more out of your piece of wood. it would have taken some clever arrangement, but I think you could have pulled it off.

because we were using tabs to keep them connected to the wood around them, cuts can't be right next to each other, otherwise pieces would come loose as they were being cut
