Wow. Most self closing hinges, (soft close), adjust in 3 directions. I have adjusted them in and out well over a 1/4 inch. (Retired carpenter/cabinet maker). Love the build and video.

Funny thing about cats stealing money: My parents owned a cat that did exactly this. He would snatch things off their dresser now and then and take them back to his lair. My parents only found out about his secret hiding hole in the boxspring of their bed when they were moving it and found like $20, among other things that had gone missing. This reminds me of when I lived in an apartment with fireplaces. The mantels made for excellent places to show off art and other little things. It's a cool idea to put some storage in there!

I used to work at this place that made custom furniture for the White House and other gov buildings in DC that had INSANE hidden compartments. It was like a Chris Ramsey video, you opened the compartments through a series of puzzles. Springs, levers, fake screws that were buttons, pound here, slide a credit card here, BOOM, little box opens out of an end table. Always wanted something like that in my house!
