I would never trust it in the way they are describing But it can be useful. You can have it create a summary and then email that around and ask everyone who attended if anything is missing. In that way it allows you to document meetings and does save time. It is a classic Microsoft sales pitch. They have a product that delivers a little benefit but they try to claim it delivers a lot of benefit and make themselves look bad in the process.

Pricing is horrible. $300 to add 8GB of RAM to get 16GB total. It's Apple pricing without Apple brand cool factor. Otherwise, still good specs on the Surface Pro 10. 120hz refresh rate, QHD+ display resolution, 1440p web camera, adjustable micro-SSD, good CPU performance, and a decent iGPU now.

I hope when they say "whole day battery life" on surface 10, they mean whole working day. Got Surface pro 7+ they advertise it as 15-hr battery life but I never experienced it. It only lasts 4-5 hrs doing visual studio 2022 and photoshop stuff on low power settings with 10% screen brightness. If I do performance mode, I'd be luck if it'll reach 3 hrs. Unlike apple silicon when they say 22 hrs, it'll reach around 18-20 hrs on low power settings mode doing development and photoshop stuff.

@msp5138 Yes, but you can get those features on less expensive Asus Zenbook Pros. It also runs Windows OS. If you don't need a pen, a person can get a Lenovo ThinkPad T14s with Ryzen 7 7840U CPU and 16GB of RAM for $1,200. Better for gaming too. I guess only businesses will buy brand new and Microsoft will lower the cost for bulk buying. Individuals consumers will either have to wait for refurbished ones or pay the "Microsoft tax" on 16GB of RAM.

For business, most Windows PCs are getting more than 1.5 hours for office work. More like 4-8 hours if they are not gaming on it. Especially since Intel Alder Lake (12th gen). Gaming destroys battery life on all laptops, even M chip MacBooks. Roughly around 1 to 3 hours at best unplugged.
