The milliamps has nothing to do with speed just run times

@@andrew4403 wrong…. Very wrong. I have documented the difference many times in my channel is this is well know by people that understand LIPOs. The way you calculate the performance potential of a LIPO (in theory as C ratings are mostly grossly inflated) is you take the capacity in amp hours (5,000 mAh is 5 ah) and multiply it by the C rating. A 5,000 mAh 50C LIPO in theory can supply 250A continuously. A 1,000 mAh 50C LIPO in theory can supply 50A continuously. A LIPO that can supply more amps will have less voltage sag (the voltage will not dip as much under heavy load) and thus be faster as voltage determines how fast a motor spins. Everything else being equal, a larger LIPO will be able to supply more amps and thus have less voltage sag. Go take a little LIPO and put a 1,000 mAh 50C LIPO in a RC car that draws say 200A and if you don't fry your ESC or immediately hit the low voltage cutoff, you will quickly see just how wrong/uninformed you are. 😎

I found the same results with the CNHL black 3S packs. The discharge rate might not be accurate on these particular packs, but they seem to be for drone use. Too tall for my boat.. and I already knew from testing on the last one, that the stock battery performed better 🤷♂
@BriansRCStuff2 ай бұрын
I am getting ready to test my 3s packs this morning. I have seen them outperform a Zeee pack but that is all I have seen them tested against. Today I am testing it against other budget packs but next time if it does okay, I will test it against higher end packs! Thanks for the info!

Me too! 🤷♂️ It charged normal, the voltage drop-down normal as I was running it, and I don’t see anything obviously wrong with it… But who knows. I can’t wait to see your video!

Nice smooth runs atleast!.. it's always a good day when something don't break!! 😂 and hey I don't know if you ever noticed or not but those lower arms come with droop screws that you can adjust if ya want to get a little lower to the ground it may work out better for your speed runs?. I don't mess with mine too much because I run my off-road and I need the suspension travel. ✌
@BriansRCStuff2 ай бұрын
Thank you I am good point! I did see those and thank you! I need to look again, but I could’ve sworn only the front could be lowered and the back was already on the lower setting… But I need to doublecheck I was going to pit some fuel tubing inside to lower the right height… One of these days.😎

@@BriansRCStuff I'm talking about the little droop screws in the lower control arms, it's a little hex grub screw when you tighten them down it compresses the suspension makes the chassis lower to the ground. In case you're confused , Im not talking the preload adjuster on the shocks.
@SoundStream1012 ай бұрын
When you screw down those grub screws it pushes against the tabs that are on the chassis

So I have a couple of those Black series batteries, a 1500 4s and a 1100 6s, and I too was not impressed. But it could just be the low capacity because I also have a 5200 6s that I use in my speed runner which is only 90C and got faster speeds than expected. Also......your wheels are on backwards lol. I know the Hoons are directional and those have the same tread pattern. Should be little arrows on the sidewalls. Nice runs tho, can't wait to see it on 3s and 4s!
@BriansRCStuff2 ай бұрын
@@MikeGray-ct6hb lol, they probably are! Thank you for noticing! Funny, I did notice those arrows, but when I went to put them on, I totally forgot to look. I would expect that much smaller battery to perform much worse… have you tested it against a similar size battery before?
@MikeGray-ct6hb2 ай бұрын
@@BriansRCStuff Not exactly....I ran it in a setup that was only drawing about 60 amps. Ran the 4s 1500 100C against a 3300 45C battery which are both capable of 150 amps and the 3300 gave about 6mph more. Probably not the fairest test of comparison but......🤷♂️. But then ran the 5200 90c against a 7000 60C and the smaller one gave better speeds. Not sure what to do with that info lol
@BriansRCStuffАй бұрын
Yeah, a 3,300 is more than twice as big so that is a pretty big difference in size to overcome but still.... that 3300 must be a solid LIPO! I think that CNHL is really strong for its size.... I am going to do more testing this weekend against bigger LIPOs!
@MikeGray-ct6hbАй бұрын
@@BriansRCStuff yea it's kinda funny too, I run 2 of those 3300 3s in series on my stampede speed runner and they are my 2 oldest batteries. And I've put those batteries thru the wringer and they are still in better shape than all of my newer ones. They're the Gens Ace soft packs btw. Had it up to 96 so far. Hoping to hit that 100 mark this weekend

@@MikeGray-ct6hb I bet you can get it! Did you lower it for extra stability? I can’t believe how fast your big rock is! When I get some more time later, I need to check those videos out! My bandit has gone over 100 on 3S and on 4s It’s just scary for me. I have not been able to really get into the throttle but my best on a partially depleted mid level battery was 108. Gens Ace in my experience makes some really solid packs

It took a little bit for me to understand, because it is math based (my worst subject) but you are 100% correct. I have a CNHL 5600 mAh 120C pack that performs worse (in top speed, not punch) than my 9000 mAh 80C Zeee pack. CNHL in my opinion, have better performance and more accurate C ratings than Zeee (which has really only become an issue in my heavy Kagama) but the math here backs up the larger mAh capacity Zeee pack. My Zeee will still trigger premature LVC during heavy amp draw, so I was forced to buy a (way too expensive) 8200 mAh 150C SMC pack, because my Kagama will draw 50 amps at 1/4 throttle. I had no issue with any cheap brand of lipo until I got the Kagama. But in one run my Kagama ruined a dirt cheap Hoovo "50C" 5200 mAh pack, by voltage sagging down to 2.7 volts per cell, which resulted in the battery not charging safely. Thanks for helping to educate the public with real facts. 💪🏽

@@Boogie_the_cat So many people don't understand how this works and having a car that draws a lot of amps really drives the point home! I can't say for sure, but I bet if that CNHL was closer to 9,000 mAh it would have a higher top speed than the Zeee. That zee is about 40% bigger which is a massive difference.
@NayburhoodSnipaАй бұрын
CNHL Black series is better than Zeee packs. CNHL Blacks packs perform on par with Premium/Hi Discharge Ovonic packs.
@BriansRCStuffАй бұрын
Yeah, Zeee is just a budget brand and I have never seem them have performance that would blow my hair back! I used to test Ovonic LIPOs but they were a real PITA to work with. All the ones I tested were weak but I never had the opportunity to test their High Discharge packs. I am glad to hear they make some solid packs.
