If Macedonia was Greek, it would not have conquered the Hellenes (who back then did not even have a Greek identity, this resulted much later on around the 1830s when the nation was created with its first German King Otto). The Hellenes fought against Macedonian occupation on the side of Persians and Romans. Macedonia is truly the gem of Europe. It may not be as large as it once was, but its people (both in The Republic and its neighbouring countries) remain standing tall and proud.
